  1. Well tonight Norwich City must perform, Worthington will have no excuses if City slip up. Tonight is an extra game which we won''t get again. Tonight i would expect better football, in as much that like Neil Adams stated in the Evening News "pass the ball better across the pitch" instead of hitting it long from defence to attack, and expecting Ashton to get the flick ons and knock downs without any support. The changes i''d make to the City side would be, Brennan at left back, Huckerby at his rightful position on the left wing, and Mckenzie alongside Ashton in attack this should help Ashton as he is better playing along Mckenzie. Providing Citys approach to the final third of the field is right we should make plenty of chances. I would like to Jarrett be more involved in the game rather than just running up and down without being involved in attack. I feel that Simon Charlton has to play better if hes to remain in the team. Dean Marney also could do with a good performance tonight after a rather "very average" performance on Saturday. If City can do better in the aspects mentioned there is no doubt City will come out winners. If the likes of Jarrett does not improve his performance Worthington should think twice about spending that £1.5 million on a striker. If Mckenzie, Jarrett, Fleming improve their displays. Perhaps we won''t be thinking about bringing new players. Lets hope Norwich City play as a team, and if they do their will be no problems. If this all happens we will be in Heaven !
  2. no mate if u actually read what the paper says then, agree with me. Because it clearly says in the EDP just what i said ask the Norwich fans, they will tell u straight, its definitely what he said.
  3. Well after listerning to the match yesterday i knew there was something wrong with worthys tactics. All i kept hearing was hit it long and straight away i just knew it would land on a oppositions head. I remember going back 3 or 4 years ago when we used to play like that with Roberts in the team. That distribution shouldn''t need to be used anymore because we have better players so why are we doing it now. I think Worthington played Brennan out of position on the left wing, instead of at left back which he is used to. i believe he should of stuck with Huckerby on the left with Ashton and McKenzie upfront. He did not need to change the midfield, only our left back in defence.  Worthington every week on the interview says the same things, hes repeating himself and not being honest. Because when Norwich have a bad game he won''t admit it. If we expect to go up again then i suggest Worthington invests in that area, and perhaps in defence.  Worthingtons coaching could also be a bit better in the set pieces department if we are to nick those crucial goals. All what i have said may sound critical but they deserve it the way they have been playing of late. Tactics must be improved. The fans on canary call come up with better ideas than him sometimes. These critical statments are not undeserved, they are just the truth. I Know what im about to sound harsh but i couldn''t help noticing that A.Hughes gave the ball away alot what happened to the A. Hughes we saw last Saturday, it''s not the first game hes been doing it either. I know its no good looking back now but why did he have to sell Mulryne or even Holt. Those two got norwich playing and at least we had more possession 90% of the time. And at least we harried the teams when we didn''t have the ball. We just lack that tenacious side to our game we don''t seem to be getting stuck in as much.
  4. Well regarding the Jim Brennan issue i think for the number of years he has been at the club and something should have been sorted out, rather than leaving Brennan like dead wood hes now 27 years old. I mean i think that he is a valuable asset personally. Because u have the option of playing him as Left Full back or a Left Winger. Now i don''t know about the fans but from what i''ve seen of him given first team football he could really have a good run in the side. So i think in the interests of the player and Norwich City i think if he is to remain part of the first team plans they either give him games or send him on loan. I mean looking at it in the long term we could end up losing him. Simon Charltons age 32. So we''ll be scratching our heads looking for maybe 2 replacements. So its up to the Manager and staff to look at the situation before it gets worse.
  5. Well its high time Worthy got rid of unreliable Doherty and replaced him with a proven Championship defender thats what i say. One suggestion i would make is whether or not it would be worth bringing back Malky Mackay as a replacement following his release from West Ham. Its either that or look elsewhere because on MACKAYS issue i think given the games at Championship Level he could be what Norwich are lacking in the defence department, thats the type of Centre half i believe Worthy should be on the look out for. I also feel strongly about the right backs available to us as if M.Louis Jean gets injured who do we have to cover him. That is something else which should be seriously considered.
  6. You try to wind up Norwich fans because it won''t work and i''ll tell u why. First things first didn''t u hear what Nigel Worthington spoke about at the start of the season, well i''ll tell u anyway he said we won''t sell Ashton unless somebody comes in with a massive bid which i very much doubt. Now this talk of Wigan Athletic trying to buy him is ridicoulous because why would Ashton 21 yrs old, with a great future ahead of him go to a club as small as Wigan. No disrespect to Wigan but they have poor fanbase, and not only that the facilitys to develope himself are probably no where near as appealing as Norwichs. Now that is the reason he may not go in my opinion. My advice to Ashton, and i''m no expert would be to keep his head down keep on playing well. And if he happens to recieve contact from any club to consider it there and then.
  7. over the last few days Darren Huckerby has been giving it some lip some of what he has come out with is true don''t get me wrong. But when he starts saying things like it''s easy to stay in the Premiership that annoys me because clearly its not, you can not compare playing in the Premiership to playing in the Championship because the gap is massive. I agree with him on the fans they should stop winging at the team and get behind them ! because winging at them will not help the players it will make them worse. So if the fans are going to winge at them do it when they have played very badly. What will help is all of us being positive towards them. Its all about togetherness as fans, the players have also got to do that too. Performance wise i think like Worthington said in the interview on Saturday people like Hughes and Jarrett have got to be slighty sharper and slick with their passing. For example when we hit teams on the break Jarrett and Hughes, not as much Safri, those three have got to have that little bit more precision.
  8. City played well on Tuesday in the second half city fans can have no complaints about that half. Hopefully we''ll beat Palace on Saturday i think we must really tighten up in midfield and Jarrett and Hughes need to fairly soon learn to gell together. Safri is the key simply because he will sit in the central midfield pull the strings for Norwich by tackling, passing, shooting, which Hughes for me lacks Worthy can not expect to be able to play two attack minded players in Hughes and Jarrett. Worthy has either got to play Safri in the midfield with either Jarrett or Hughes. Now ideally Hughes in my opinion would be a better play to play in the middle because hes more physical a bit of an all rounder. The trouble with Jarrett is hes too light weight to have in the middle but he would be ideal to either have as a winger because hes versatile, or he could play in behind the front two. Thats only my opinions on that but as i say Worthy should do something with Jarrett and Hughes.
