  1. Clearly it''s not over yet, but last season we would have just curled up and died at 1 down at half time. For us to get 2 goals back shows that the team have a completely different mentality from this time 12 months ago. This is really promising - even if we don''t get all three points today (fingers crossed we do!). Some things never change though - Doc''s booked again... Oh well Ben
  2. I didn''t get a chance to see Marshall play last season, but from what I can gather the defence did a better job in front of him than in front of Gall - they certainly seemed to be a bit more spacially aware in front of Warner. Not suggesting that this is in any way mitigation for the lack of movement on the defender front, but... Dare I suggest that PG believes that the incumbants and the current crop of fresh talent waiting in the wings are good enough in front of a goalkeeper that can actually help the defence by talking to them? It would certainly look that way at the moment... <ducks for cover [:P]> The other question that''s been bugging me is to do with the transfer window. I know it closes on the 31st August, but is that "europe-wide" or just within England - I mean, can we still buy in Scottish talent after this date? Ben (Still be happier with the Doc and Drury being cover for a more predictable pair...)
  3. According to the BBC Text Web service, we''ve only had 22% of the possession so far. Is it really that one sided? Anyone listening back home? Ben
  4. Just seen Henderson''s name come up on SkySports - he''s scored their second against Cheltenham. Perhaps he''s found a level he can play at? Ben
  5. Seemed to be right back - didn''t really get forward enough to be midfield. Managed to put in a couple of good passes, and did some solid tackling, but there was still quite a bit of wayward "stuff" going on. Ben
  6. I like Hillsborough, although I''ve never been there as an away fan, so I can''t comment on the away end - looking forward to the last day of the season though (Dad''s an owl, and lives in King''s Lynn, I''m a Norwich fan and live within walking distance of the Hillsborough stadium). If Dad wants to watch, he can either sit with me in the away end, or on his own! Apparently the stadium at Hillsborough is one of the oldest of it''s type - the full cantelever on the north stand was years ahead of it''s time. The atmosphere for Wednesday against Barnsley this season was excellent (Dad come up for my stag do, so we went to the football first!). The best bit was the half time entertainment. Watching 17 year old twin girls (Twin - see youtube for footage!) shouting obscenities at the Barnsley fans whilst performing their new single was great! Rotherham and Vale were pretty amusing this season - vast swathes of the stand either missing or overgrown. But that, I guess, shows the overall league position. Felt like a garden shed though! I agree about the Derby / Stoke / Ikea / MFI stadiums - I work on the Pride Park complex just across the road from the stadium, and it''s as soulless whether there''s a game on or not (we''ve used the management suites for meetings in the past). To be honest though, I''ve been to a few away games over the last couple of years, and the atmosphere in the Norwich end has always been really, really good, and most times we''d managed to out-sing the opposition. It''s rare that a team comes to us and can say that! Pitch-wise, Chelski was pretty awful, whereas the surface at Pride Park looks really nice most of the time. I guess millions might make a decent stand, but you still need a great groundstaff. Ben
