  1. It's pretty much a given that the Spanish footballers were juiced up in the 00s (no correlation with their massive success that followed for both the national team and Barcelona, of course).

In 2006, Operation Puerto raided properties linked with prolific doping doctor Emiliano Fuentes. In all, they recovered over 200 unique blood samples of athletes. 60 cyclists were implicated. 60. What of the other 150+? Not a whisper was spoken. It makes me laugh that everyone talks about cycling as this pariah sport mired in doping. In reality, they only have that reputation because they have actively weeded out the cheats whereas other sports have turned a blind eye, in the same way that cycling did in the 90s.

Who were the other 150+ athletes using Fuente's methods? He's admitted that Barcelona players visited him.

Anyone who thinks footballers are not included heavily in those other blood samples is incredibly naive.

A recent survey of Labour MPs found the majority were anti-Semitic supporters of Hamas, favoured child mutilation, and a few even lobbied to legitimise paedophilia. Pardon me for puking.

    Completely and utterly bonkers.

who is more known and experienced but you know what you're getting.

I agree, as to get a coach like you describe here, we inevitably have to go for someone on something of a downward spiral, or pay more money than we can afford.

Coaches who with a track record of Championship promotion will either being doing well in the EPL and unrealistic for us (Thomas Frank, Vincent Kompany, etc) or they're a feasible option for us only because they either failed at that level or had a modicum of success before getting the sack after a failure (Dean Smith).

I'd much rather roll the dice on an unknown who COULD be the next big thing but might be a flop. Realistically, that's the only way we're going to get a manager with the nous to keep us in the EPL, assuming that is the club's ultimate aim.

A manager who has proven their ability to get a club out of the Championship and stay in the Premier League for more than a season isn't going to be coming to Norwich.

I think its you that have the agenda against Gunn?

Nail on head. It's patently clear @Branston Pickle has something against Angus Gunn. Ironic really, given his near absolute reluctance to criticise anything to do with the club, he shows a peculiar keeness to throw Gunn, one of our best players, maybe even the best player, this season under the bus.

  5. Very strange what's happened with him. I can only imagine the deal that bought him here had a relatively low up front cost but a lot of extras based on appearances? Seems he's highly rated by lots of people, just no one in Norwich.

No, he signed a 5-year deal when we got him.

Agree with you but I am correct that thete were many people who thought they would be relegated. Happy to research with examples. Not sure who you think is lying but it is not me. In my reply to your insistence in viewing the season as it was on Friday I looked at the overall position and made a comparative analysis of the relative finishes of the 6 teams vying for 5th or 6th place. At the moment if you assess Sunderland form so far this season and project it over 46 games 71 points would be required to reach 6th place.

And although I don't like focusing on individual games if norwich beat Sunderland at home then norwich would be above Sunderland who are currently 6th.

It is impossible at this point to conclude this season will not be a success any more to conclude it will be a failure.

Try being a bit more objective then you might be a bit happier!

Nobody seriously believed we were in danger of relegation. There may have been a few fake binner accounts bleating about the prospect, but nobody genuinely believed that a squad largely accepted as being the 3rd or 4th well remunerated in the league, was going to be relegated.

It'd be like predicting Chelsea or Man Utd were going to be relegated.

To say we could be in a relegation battle so be positive is spin that would embarrass a Tory MP. This has been an appalling season where a squad easily capable of top 6 (as evidenced by the two positive runs we've enjoyed this season) is well off where we should be at this stage. If you're happy with that, well done I guess, maybe it's true what they say about bliss and ignorance?

Objectively, next to bookies odds, pundits predictions and squad wage budget, we've underperformed. There has to be a reason for that. Some will conclude luck and injuries, others will say poor management. The reality is a mixture of the two, but it's management that has to accept the bulk of the blame.
