Ah yes Gibbs, i'd forgotten about him. He made a mistake, but he's young and that's to be expected. Keep developing him for us, we'll probably be back to take him off you again in a couple of years, so long as he reaches a high enough level. He wouldn't get in our current midfield so best he spends a few years with you guys 👍

You are indeed, however that is not the reason he left. By all accounts he wanted to stay but we were not prepared to meet his agents demands. Time will tell if that was the right decision.

Not overly fussed to be honest, would rather he had stayed or gone anywhere else other than NCFC but it is what it is. He made one first team start last season and didn't look anywhere near ready although playing with the crap around him has to be taken into consideration. Where we are at currently we need 1st team ready players to get us out of the hellhole that is league One so his opportunities would have been limited. I know he is highly rated though and will probably only get better and I have to admit your youth set up and coaching is superior so will give him the best chance. It could be one we come to regret or he may fall by the wayside. Time will tell.

Downes is nothing special and definitely not good enough for the prem at the moment. Championship level at best. Oh dear, I think you will find it was our U23's that played at Bury Town, but don't let the facts get in the way. As we all know Pre-season results are really important though so everybody at ITFC is totally gutted about not beating them.

The OP is genuine. Sometimes you just have to tip your hat and say 'well played'. I can't say I am not just a little bit jealous but no point in being bitter and twisted and the whole 'history' argument is weak so you won't see me bleating about that. In any case I started going in 1984 just as we were getting rubbish so missed the best period anyway! 😅 What do you think you will need to stay up then? From what I have seen it is probably critical that you strengthen at centre half and also add a bit of physicality in midfield, assuming you don't lose anybody I think that will be enough to see you comfortably in mid table.

Hello, binner in peace here... I just wanted to say congratulations on your well deserved promotion. I say this through gritted teeth but it was thoroughly deserved, lets be honest you won the league at a canter and played some fantastic football along the way. I have watched a few of your games this season and you are the real deal, with the right additions in the summer I can see you surviving quite comfortably next season. As you know your rivals down the road are...well...no longer rivals at all because we are light years behind you currently. I have some hope that in a few years we might be able to provide competitive derby opposition once again but I believe we will have to climb two divisions to do so. Congratulations once again.
