Martin O Neill has the same Dilemma as Neil Adams.....Wes to play or not to play.

Recommended Posts

Wes was MOM last night v Gibraltar (7-0), he set up numerous chances, scored and kept possession well, albeit against a very poor Gib side. Germany up next, away.

Same problem as NA has ,emerges, how does a player like Wes fit in against the better sides, can he display the same class against bigger, stronger , more tactically adept players?

He played in behind Robbie Keane last night and looked like a Barca no 10, all one touch and deft flicks, most of which came off....he was a class above, which of course he should be.

Personally, i think he should play, but not as No.10, but as an AM in a 5 man midfield, as Ireland will have their hands full in midfield v the Germans....who lost 2 nil to poland last night, so they are beatable, and Wes has the Key to unlock their defence in his sweet left foot.

It will be interesting to see if Martin O Neill has more faith in Wes than Trappatoni ever did, oh, and no Pilks last night, McGeady and McLean as wide men, looks like Pilks wont get much of a run v the against the Germans.

I hope that NA watches the game if Wes plays....we may all learn something.

You could have played wes at left back against that team and feel confident he''d create chances. Pointless to analyse anyone after that game. May as well play someone from the Anglian combination league
