Fergie will be well aware that Hughton''s tactics actually work better against better sides. We can raise our game, in fact we often match our opponents, so against poor sides we are also poor. But play Man.U, Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal, Man.C, Spurs even in games we''ve lost or drawn against these sides recently we''ve still performed very well, yet play Fulham, Reading, Southampton, a poor away Newcastle side and we look like we''ve forgotten what football is at times (albeit putting in a good enough defensive performance).It is good timing for us, and gives us a better chance than if we played them tomorrow, but because we beat them, and because even their second X1 is (probably) better at least in terms of individual quality than our best side. flecky76 0 Posted February 15, 2013 Interesting that when we got relegated in 1995, we actually beat that seasons Premiership winners Blackburn at home and drew away.
