Morph 31 Posted March 14, 2005 Apologies if this has already been discussed in another note but.....With Bolton''s performance against Arsenal at the weekend happened by El Hadj Daft, it did prove one thing - they are going to be throwing balls into the box like crazy (same applies to Southampton). So to negate that now is the time for Worthy to be brave and make changes to a back four in preparation for the run-in and next season. I think he has to go with:GK: GreenRB: Helveg (if fit)CB: DohertyCB: ShackellLB: Charlton or DruryRM: JonsonCM: Safri/StuartCM: FrancisLM: HuckerbyST: AshtonST: McKenzieBench: Gallacher, Drury, Brennan/Stuart, Holt, McVeighHe needs to guys at the core of the defensive four that can deal with high balls with more conviction than we''ve had so far this season - Fleming isn''t it. If Charlton plays give him the captains armband. However, knowing Worthy we''ll get the same back four and suffer on set pieces all afternoon....

I agree with you about Flem but think Charlie looks far better in the middle that at full back. Harsh to drop Leon who has two goals in the last two games but we are far more threatening with Hux up front (he creates more than Leon and converts at about the same rate) but Jonson, assuming he does not have his Diouf head on, provides far more defensive security and an aerial capability for a physical Trotters side. If we had a realistic wide right option (come back soon Bents) then I would start with Stuart in the middle with Damo. The only option beyond that is WLY on the left and Jonson on the right but this would be a weaker side for Sat. In reality we MAY see Helveg in for eddie but suspect that if thomas plays it may be at the expense of holt, I cant see Flem being dropped and I expect Leon and Ashton to start up front. DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted March 14, 2005 Morph that would be my dream line up for Bolton! With Saf in for Stuart. However, we aint going to see it. No Flem? No Holt? Only in our dreams!! Great line up though
