CanarySmfc 0 Posted July 27, 2012 Hi, St Mirren fan here. Never posted on a Norwich forum before but thought I''d introduce myself as our clubs links strengthen (albeit very slightly!) as I spotted a random group of Canaries in Paisley this week and the club put this up on the website this afternoon;http://www.saintmirren.net/pages/?p=13955I''ve been keeping an eye on Norwich since Simon Lappin joined from ourselves in 2007 and followed even closer when Paul Lambert became manager in 2009 (as a player he also left us with a bit of a sideways move which left us a little bitter). I done a bit of brushing up on Norwich and found some similarities to Saints! A solid, ambitious community club in the top flight, a few national honours and the rare foray into European football (of course we are on a much smaller scale) and have pretty much adopted Norwich as a second club! All the best for the new season, guys, and I hope I can get down to Carrow Road to take in a few games next season :D

CanarySmfc 0 Posted July 27, 2012 Yep, Jimmy Bone both played and managed us. A bit before my time, but racked up a load of appearances and was Assistant Manager when we won the Scottish Cup in 1987 (apparently he celebrated his goals with a funny dog and bone act, getting onto all fours and chasing the ball, seems ridiculous, but genius!)Seems we both had the misfortune of having Mo Camara playing for us :P
