Today, Prem/championship...

Recommended Posts

Firstly, great win today, brilliant to get 4 goals and to see our 3 main forward players all on the scoresheet.  I wasn''t at the game, i''ll explain in a minute, but BBC stats make it look a cracker and I cant wait for MOTD tonight.  Plus, I had 50p on 4-2 at 66/1, so a nice £33.50 return.  (I''d also done some small stakes on 3-2, 4-3, 2-2 and 3-3, just felt we were due a goal fest in our favour)

Anyway, reason I wasn''t there and not listening, (aside from not having a season ticket), I was offered a free ticket to Leicester V Posh.  I''m never one to pass up on a freebie, so thought i''ll go along and check out what we''re missing...  The conclusive answer, it was pretty dreadful.  The atmosphere was awful, there was none, 25,000 there, and Leicester couldn''t get a song going until about an hour in.  The football wasn''t much better, Peterborough showed a lot of effort, but the quality just isn''t there.  The best player was Emile Sinclair, but I think Casper only had 2 meaningful saves to make.  Leicester, for all the money they''ve spent had a lot of possesion, but never really looked as if they''d create a real golden opportunity.  Nugent ran about like a headless chicken, had a poor touch and didn''t look threatening, and Beckford looked like he was lacking confidence, apart from hitting the post, he didn''t look threatening, again a poor touch.  I''m very happy we dodge these 2 strikers in the summer...

So, I thought i''d share my experiences after the last couple of weeks i''ve heard a few mumblings of people moaning about the big clubs dominance in the PL, and how we dont have much chance of doing anything other than surviving for a long while.  Well let me tell you guys, i''ll happily take 2 wins out of every 7 if it meant we avoid the dross that is the championship.  Today was a very, very poor game.  Leicester will be lucky to make the playoffs, Posh will be lucky to stay up...
