alysha 0 Posted February 5, 2011 We have lost only our 3rd away game all season. Fair enough we haven''t been playing well lately, but we have grinded out a few results, compare this to the games we have dominated and lost. Our strikers haven''t been scoring, Holt before this game was having a slight dry spell and to be fair C.Martin and Jackson have never really got started this season - the more noticable thing though was that in the last few games we haven''t been creating as much which I think forced Lambert''s changes today - R.Martin and Drury are attacking full backs and as we have no natural wingers, play 3 CB which gives them the freedom to push forward even more than usual. OK this did not work, but I could see the logic behind it. At the end of the day, we can moan as much as we like about this formation, but if Jackson wasn''t fouled before their first goal, if C.Martin would have scored when he was through on goal and if Wilbraham wouldn''t of lost his man on their second, we would have almost certainly won today; Lambert may not have got the formation right in the first half, but I don''t think this defeat lies soley at his door. We had chances to win this game but didn''t; hopefully this will highlight even more how we desperately need to a striker in on loan. Bring on Reading next Saturday!
