The gut 0 Posted November 13, 2009 I just took a trip into my little canary world. The club had sent an invite out to all fans to turn up a couple of hours before kick off. On turning up we were all greeted with free drink and home made Delia''s nibbles. There was a real party atmosphere.Players, manager and board were circulating, indulging in happy smalltalk with fans promising that they were gonna give us a right show. They were buzzing, really up for the game they just couldn''t wait to get on the pitch. Everyone was patting them on the back wishing them a good game and telling them all how much we loved them. There were big wheelie bins positioned everywhere for a transfer kitty collection. We were all in such good spirits, there were £20 notes being chucked in every few seconds, filling so quick they were being tipped into bin bags and dragged to the carrow road safe. There was gonna be no more debt.Everybody was everybody''s mate. There were videos of all the great goals we''ve scored and highlights of victories over Ipswich being played wherever we looked. We were cheering, laughing and singing in unison. We made our way to the seats shaking hands with stewards who informed us all that there was to be no sitting. On our seats were 90 minutes worth of song sheets, the club had booked a band to play the tunes to them all. there was a chant for every single player and not one supporter failed to bellow out for the duration of the game. We didn''t look at the away fans once, it was as if they weren''t there. We couldn''t hear them at all, drowning them out completely as we were mesmerised by our team responding to the atmosphere. We really were the best set of fans in the land, having the most fantastic time as we were losing count of the score. Canary call was gonna go on into the night as Neil was trying to speak to everyone asking if we thought we were contenders to win promotion. I love my little Canary World. barclayboy1902 6 Posted November 27, 2009 christiano ronaldo turned down real madrid, he told them that he didnt care how much they wanted to pay him or how badly they wanted him, the only reason he would leave old trafford is if norwich city were interested in his signature, so much so he asked his agent to arrange the move and not take no for an answer. due to the wheely bin transfer kitty scheme no player was out of our budget. when approached by the agent demanding we buy christiano and release him from the manchester minnows and he explained how keen he was to play in front of the best supporters in the land paul lambert agreed that we could do with some good bench players and due to the amount of stars wanting to come to norwich christiano would more than likely just become a reserve team player, but he didnt care he just wanted to be a part of this canary world
