Canary Boy 0 Posted September 7, 2004 I for one believe that Malky Makay should feature in our Premiership campaign this season. He and Craig Fleming had a wonderful relationship last season and Malkay should be given his chance. I know Simon Charlton has come in and has played superb, but I feel Charlton should be moved to left back in place of Adam Druey as almost all our goals conceded this season have come from the left side, with Druey nearly always at fault.GreenEdworthy, Fleming, Makay, CharltonMcVeigh, Francis, Safri, BentleyNew Striker, HuckerbyI say new striker because if Huckerby gets injured, we are finished. AJ 1,359 Posted September 7, 2004 ill just correct you that all our goals, until the arsenal game, were conceded mainly of holts fault. I dont agree with much you said, ok Malky played well last season and had a great relationship last season, BUT this is the premier league, and we cant afford to make mistakes. Sure if malky improves his passing i wont have a problem.Im sure adam will stay in the first team; hes played very well, im sure he was just nervous at the arsenal game, and in the wrong place and the wrong time. As captian, which he deserves, im sure hes going to be out star left back. And look, when we get a new striker, Doc is going to play centre back and this, most likely is going to be partned with Simon Charlton, thus pushing fleming out the team. Helveg also doesn''t stand a chance at the moment unless he gets brought on in the position of righ midfield. And i sort of agree with you last comment. Although we are not a one man team, we have proven this and there is no way we rely on huckerby that much anymore. But untill we get a new striker i have to agree if huckerby goes out then we will strugle!

Which is why it makes no sense to weaken the squad now, when we are not in a position to strengthen it.Stupid.
Northern Canary 0 Posted September 7, 2004 I think Drury should always be priority at Left back (the Arsenal insident was more of typical arsenal than a fault by Drury). i am not too bothered about a new striker (although Djorkaeff is worth a try). but Mackay, he should definately not be sold, he will be usefull with his height and strength and Norwich may regret selling him if they do, Flem and Charlton arent the tallest of people. DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted September 7, 2004 I don''t think we should drop Drury just so Mackay can get a game. Deep down I really don''t think he''s going to cut it in the Premiership. Like you say though Canary Boy, I''m sure we''ll get a new striker in January. Then I would have thought the Doc will go back in defence
