First Wizard 0 Posted December 27, 2003 Well shiver me timbers shipmates, we''ve got him, bl***y hell what a season. Are your nerves in the same state as mine?, I hope not.I now believe totaly in Fairies, the moon IS made of cream cheese, and I''m convinced The Manager was seen walking across the Wensum this moning. This has been a right old spooky season has''nt it, maybe my brother wizards have been putting in a little bit of overtime!.When others and I (Diane, Gazza the great, Snake pit rebel, Bury Belvoir etc,) said at all costs we MUST get DH here permantly, we were ridiculed, slaughted in fact by certain posters, as to not living in the real world, Oh yeah, well they seem to have been very quiet of late, especially one in particular!.Now not for one single moment do I suggest WE were responsible for this happening, no, Darren Huckerby keeping his word and Nigel Worthington''s sheer determination were the real reason''s for it. Delia Smith must now be cannonised and the board members should have bronze statues erected around Carrow Road, maybe a small one even for Kevan Keegan!, for they are the real miracle workers here. But I sincerely do believe we did play a very small part in all this, through our persistant postings on various message boards, plus our loyal (from our point of view) and financial support of the club, as no doubt did you all.God, its great to be a City fan at the moment.Sorry,, what was that Tinkerbell?. Snake Pit Rebel 0 Posted December 27, 2003 I total agree with you 1st Wizard i do believe it was a combination of the fans contributions-i.e the way that we made Hucks feel here,Worthy not taking no for an answer and a board that for once have given the fans a chance of what we really deserve.Delia summed it up for me yesterday when she was on the pitch praising the fans up and saying that we are the best supporters in the world. That sent a shiver down my spine.A huge thankyou to everyone involved at the club in making my dreams and the dreams of many others come true.CITY TILL I DIE!! gazzathegreat 0 Posted December 27, 2003 first wizard, snake pit (sorry i missed you off several other posts on here and elsewhere, sorry mate)yes, we have got the man, at long last and yes, i still believe the fans who really went for it had a great influence, especially on deliashe is right, we are the best in the world, we still come in great numbers after nine years of survival, absolute hell at times and that almost there season, and we go in great numbers away from home, contribute in many ways to the club, season tickets, shares, merchandise, etcall you who slagged us off for not supporting the club, the day the board announced they had put in a bid for hucks, i bought a friend an 8 match season ticket!! Is that not support?I still am angry with the lack of ambition at the start of DH''s loan spell, the patronising approach to us fans by certain members of board and figurehead supporter organisations, but hey, in the end it was down to a few peopleDarren, who kept to his word, Worthy, who made it all happen and Delia and Michaeland of course us, what a reception DH got yesterday, I wonder what the general football fans watching the Sky coverage must have thought, be interesting to find out!!It was mega, one of the best days of my life to see him on the pitch, ours at lastYes, i believe in wizards, fairies, everything now. Happy new year, happy promotion chase!!
