Les 0 Posted February 15, 2009 Norwich City skipper Mark Fotheringham says the club''s fans should expect a promotion challenge this season. The Canaries were dominant in beating Plymouth Argyle 2-1 on Saturday to record their first win of the campaign. Fotheringham told BBC Radio Norfolk: "We are definitely striving to be the perfect team in this league this season and to go up. "The fans should start believing as well because we have got the players capable of doing it." Fotheringham was made club captain early in the reign of manager Glenn Roeder and is backing Norwich to go from strength to strength under his leadership. "We should be comfortable in a lot of the matches with the team we''ve got. "It''ll be a different type of pressure for Norwich this year because we''re going to be favourites going into a lot of games." City only avoided relegation to League One by three points last season but after seeing Roeder bring 13 new players to the club over the summer Fotheringham is predicting a reversal of fortunes this year. What a load of baloney, told my friend after the Spuds pre-season game that we''d be relegated come May. Sorry to say it''s now looking that way umless there is a dramatic change in results..
