Look it would not have been my choice. I would have prefered something else. But we do at least need to give the benefit of the doubt to Gunny and back him to the hilt. He does have some advantages too:

1) He really does know the club inside out and won''t need a ''settling in'' period

2) He does have good connections including Sir Alex

3) He does seem to be a likeable chap...and i is unlikely the players will hate him. They may need this after Roeder

4) The whole team will want to prove something

So let us shout them on, back them and support them and see what happens. This message board is in real danger of becoming acerbic and wholly negative. Understandable given the last 3 seasons...but lets be as postive as possible eh?
