Bring back Cureton now

Recommended Posts

The only thing left to achieve this season is one thing... survival.

Sadly tomorrow''s game is (money aside) irrelevant, the following league match against Sheffield United will have a far greater bearing on Norwich City''s future.

Crofty & Marshall could line up against us if the rumour mill is true, I sincerely hope not.

On these pages we all (quite rightly) express our differing  views on why we are in such a mess. Some say the Board, some say Roeder.

The Board have made mistakes, giving Nigel too long, paying too higher wages for ordinary players and Peter Grant''s appointment are the biggest. But they were all done with the best intentions, as I am sure was Roeder''s belief that his loan policy that worked so well last season would again this.

Sadly it hasn''t. By a country mile it hasn''t.

Roeder said he wanted at least 2 players for every position, at the moment we havn''t got 1 out & out centre forward at the club( Who is match fit) let alone 2. For the 4 centre back positions we have only one, Docs.

Our manager must see the error of his ways and act accordingly. ( And no I havn''t managed England before he asks)

My suggestions would be recall Jamie Cureton immeadiately, not to do so would prove Roeder is putting his own pride before the welfare of the club, recall Mickey Spillane from Luton, for once get Gunny to get a decent loan defender from Manchester United ( the fans I speak to are fed up with quotes like "Gunny is working night & day blar blar blar"  he hasn''t  had one player from his supposed great mate) and sign a stop gap centre-forward from the lower leagues.

And finally give Huckerby a short term  contract until he goes back to America.

I wonder what his thoughts were after the Forest game. I bet he cannot believe he isn''t worth a place in that team!
