spm2866 0 Posted November 16, 2008 I sat and watched a reasonable game of football yesterday afternoon in attendance with 24000+ fans and apart from some real poor lapses in defence, (all 3 goals came from the same position including the disallowed 1) City were comfortable. What has really got my blood boiling is the fact that playing "keep ball" however nice it looks without any form of penatration, leaves me with one question only, whats the point? Surely playing ugly and getting into the oppostions penalty area to win the game is what the games about, moving Pattison into the middle lost all the momentum and in turn Bell disappeared from the game, why is that?At 1.3 down us the fans were beginning to come together as one and finally the club was going to hear us sing and finally make our point to them, but when we got our second the club got another "get out of jail card" and the fans became disenchanted again, yes we did start to back the team (just like the good old days) especially from us in the Barclay but not even our voices trancended into an equalising goal let alone a winner, City just played "keep ball" and looked very pretty for the final 25 minutes. On far to many occasions this season the club has got away with not hearing what us the fans really think and thats because we still live in some small vane of hope that things will change, the club knows that even if we don''t turn up to watch games this season it won''t make much difference to the finances because they already have our money (did you notice the people handing out half season ticket propaganda outside the ground), us a a group of fans have one thing only to use and thats our voice but this must be 100% from us all, we can all sit here, use the phone ins etc and grumble, that will not change anything, we can blame Roeder but its not his fault, he came here desperate for a job knowing what a dreadful mess our clubs in, he has only done what he could (mistakes yes but really what has he had to play with?).So is there anymore "get out of jail cards left"?I''m hoping we can come together as a 100% strong group of supporters now before its too late because while we stand divided the club can carry on doing really whatever it likes.UNTIL WE ARE 1 THEY HAVE WON!OTBC since 1969
