PhatCanary 0 Posted April 20, 2008 First of all, to win games you need to score goals, to score goals you need to have a good goal scorer, the club decided not to buy a goal scorer in the transfer window, we''ve struggled to score and we are fighting to stay in the division, you can''t blame Jamie Cureton for all our problems but to be fair he was shocking against West brom and has had far to many off days. Secondly, to win games you need to stop the opposition scoring goals, the club needed to bring in a defender (Taylor) but haggled over £250,000 and we continue to leak goals for fun, you need to defend as a team from the front but when your centre back ( Donkerty) seems to be wearing concrete boots and has no balance what so ever your going to struggle. Lets face it to many mistakes have been made this past 12-18 months by the decision makers at the club and we are now facing the consequences, we need to beat QPR next Saturday to avoid the turmoil of going to Sheffield needing to win, if we do stay in this division next season and the next will be just the same as this one, unless we have investment from this board or from an outside party, now we all know that finding someone to plow £15 to £20 million into a football team is not easy but i fear that if we don''t have some sort of change at the top, or at least change of heart at the top then this club will never return to the Premier league and before you can say " lets be avin you" we will have slipped into the lower leagues and complete obscurity.
