canarychris 0 Posted July 17, 2007 Neil Doncaster has confirmed on the official site that a £1.5m bid has been accepted for Dickson in line with his release clause. I can understand why Earnie would have wanted a release clause in his contract, we wanted to sign him as a replacement for Cashton and needed him more than he needed us, however Dickson was rotting in Preston''s reserves and we rescued him so at what point did our board think it was clever to give him a release clause? Dickson needed us more than we needed him at the time (this has changed now!!!) so surely WE where in a position to dictate terms.We could have renegotiated terms with Etuhu and Earnie b4 the end of last season, but instead we offer Dickson a new contract last week when it is clear there is interest from elsewhere.This is a farce of the boards making, we must invest in the team now and we must keep Saf!!!
