The Judge 0 Posted July 18, 2007 Its now, if it wasn''t already, vital we strenghten the squad before the season starts - and we have significant money to spend - say £3m (assuming the board are making it available - no reason to believe not). I also feel the board know they are in a corner and have to spend to win back the support of the majority of supporters (and the players) to show their amibition - not just say they are.But after recent events, who is want to come here ??? -we are selling our better players, and have done so consistently over the past few years, the perception within Norwich and wider (regardless of what the board say) is that we aren''t ambitious, and their is obvious unrest in the squad. The fans need a signing to excite them, show them the club/board is ambitious, this obviously means it would need to be a well known and proven player of some quality - but which player in this catagory is going to want to come here ? The only way i see this happening is if we have to pay over the odds for them and offer them a high salary. Alternatively it would have to be a loan player from the Premiership. The strategy and the decisions the board have decided to take over the past 3 years i.e. holding on to Worthington, not investing in the playing side of the football club, are coming home to roost and feel it will be very difficult and/or costly for them turn this downward spiral around. Big question for me that needs to be answered is do they really want to ? - I guess we will all find out pretty soon. This isn''t a doom and gloom post from a negative anti-board supporter, I''m just trying to paint a realistic picture of where we are now as a club and would be interested in other views
