blahblahblah 2 Posted December 27, 2006 Well, given that it is unlikely that we will be anywhere near the play-offs come May, and the parachute money dries up this season, where do NCFC look for future sources of income ?Wealthy benefactor - Anybody looking to buy into us would have to have serious cash to buy Smith and Jones out. Club takeovers are a fact of life, but less so at this level than the Premiership, having said that, with comparitively low debts we might make a good proposition. Would Norwich fans be comfortable with a Romanov or even a Mandaric ? Fans - Would the fans be interested in buying into the club to get a fan on the board / elected president, as in the Barcelona model ? Would the board allow such a thing to happen ? On the basis of current performances, this might be a difficult thing to generate interest in at the moment.Ground - This is unlikely, especially as we''ve just put a new stand up, but could we sell Carrow Road to build a purpose-built stadium on the outskirts of Norwich ? Or even propose the building of flats which could raise collateral to pay for a new stadium ? This would take years to arrange, but might make the club a lot of money, given the price of land in the city now.Any of the above could provide additional short term income that might give us the buying power to bounce us back in to the Premiership. Which as fans would you prefer ?
