lucky green trainers 0 Posted October 28, 2006 PG is a fan of 4-4-2 and playing to win - home and away. bringing the doc into midfield today and hughes on the left was a recipe for disaster. I can only assume PG has been badly advised in retaining our 4-5-1 shape in the absence of key players - with no pace in the side why play with 1 up front? if only to play for a draw? also, after a very demanding game against cardiff, was our jaded shows against port vale and stoke today evidence that the training regime needs addressing. the cardiff match showed our boys that their level of fitness is notgood enough as we failed to match them physically in the second half. i''m all for PG instilling fitness, and shackell has indicated that the training sessions are high tempo, but has PG pushed the players too hard too soon?surely a shake-up of the coaching side is overdue - PG needs to have his own people in there. the tactics and team selection today lacked commonsense. games are coming thick and fast now - we can''t afford more injuries thats for sure.
