What has suprised me about the whole transfer deadline saga is the fact that we went after a striker?

Yes I know we were resigned to selling leon but our whole formation is currently based on 4-5-1

If we bought the 18 years old kid for 2M what would we have done with him.

Would he have sat on the bench or would we have to change our formation?

The fact is with 4-5-1 we really have 3 strikers with one out and out.

The problem is not cover for the strikers but for the midfield.

We have a number of players who can play up front if needed (Earnie, McVeigh, Hucks, Croft, Jarvis, Henderson, Thorne)

Yet our central midfield 3 of Robinson. Etuhu and Safri have almost no quality cover.

We all know about Drury. We have no cover period.

The GK situation is one I am very annoyed about.

Joe Lewis should have been given some time in the carling cup and maybe the last 15 minutes against Barnsly when we were 5-1 up.

We should be brining him along nicely and putting him in good situations YET his playing time will end up with him being thrown in with no

first team experience. Hopefully it wont be some hostile away match after PG has been sent off.

So what areas do you think we should target for loan signings?
