What can we expect before the window closes?

I will be surprised if we sign more than 1 player permanently and  I am expecting a couple of season long loans from the Premier League.

I still think we will sign a big man up front, a left back and central midfielder.

I would be nice to sign a few more players on a permanent basis but I can''t really see it happening.

I think this will depend entirely upon whether Green goes or not. The West Ham and Charlton speculation is gaining momentum again, so if he goes for say £1.5m we could be looking at a different class of signing than if we act now. As was highlighted last night, we need a target man, and back up at right wing, left back, centre back and central midfield if we are to have the squad strength to last the season as we are thin in these areas. I think we''ll have to go without any Green money and will get a striker on loan and nothing else.
