ca 1 Posted April 19, 2006 I came home from a game that we had won, feeling completely drained, fed up and miserable. I didn''t post Monday or yesterday because I thought after some sleep that I''d feel better and calm down, but it hasn’t workedWhat’s upset me so much you might ask?Is itThe rubbish that is being served up to us week after week, God help the regular away fans, they have my sympathy and admiration. How stupid I feel to have renewed my beloved season ticket for 3 years, thinking that Delia would make the right decision for us all.How Worthy keeps going on about decency & honesty but can''t do the honest and decent thing after a years bad performance in his job, where he has totally let down the very people who pay his wages. How low this club has sunk when fans boo their own players wearing the green and yellow, it wasn’t his fault, he doesn’t pick the team.Because at this moment in time the players don’t like the fans and the fans don’t like the players, how sad is that and can that damaged be repaired? That I really don''t care a toss anymore if we''re beaten because I feel that’s the only way we''ll get rid of him. Yes all those things have upset me but what really upset me on Monday was that there are thousands of worthyout fans out there, but when it comes to volunteering to help, people don''t want to get their hands dirty and muck in. Loads and loads of fans decided that the protests weren''t working and that the way forward was a petition.’ Have people surround the ground’ someone on here suggested, we could capture thousands of signatures surely that will make a difference.Great idea, other than out of 1000''s of moaning and whinging worthyout fans who ask whats being done, only a small handful of volunteers could be bothered to turn up to help get the petitions signed and although we did our best we just couldn’t cope with the volumes of people wishing to sign it.I stood out there for just over an hour and collected 250 signatures in that short time. If there had been 20 of us that would have been 5000, 40 of us that would have been 10,000. Think what a statement that would have madeSo yes I''m extremely pissed off and my message to all you worthy out fans is this. If you want change, if you’re not happy with the current management team, then for Gods sake, stand up and be counted and help us, don’t continue to moan if you''re not prepared to get your hands dirty and muck in.Finally, something else which gave me a lump in my throat yesterday,An elderly couple came up to me and asked me to thank the people who had given up their time to collect names and hoped it would make a difference. They had been season ticket holders for over 20 years but were upset because they had decided not to renew their season tickets to make their stance against a manager they no longer liked, trusted or had confidence in. They couldn''t think of any other way to show their disapproval, but their decision hadn''t been taken lightly and it was obvious to me that it had caused them distress. Maybe we should say enough is enough we can’t be bothered anymore and give up our fight, but for those people and others who love this club, we need to keep on fighting, protesting, getting our sheets signed and emailing the club with our opinions until the message is rammed down their throats..Maybe it won’t make a difference but if we don’t try how will we ever know. We are looking for at least 20 volunteers to help us collect names before the Wolves game, please don’t let us down and help us.Email Meeky at emkayplastics@aol.com
