Beno27 0 Posted April 23, 2006 An away win against a team with nothing to play for seems to have papered over the cracks even more, Worthingtons comments were YET AGAIN rediculous, acceptable 8th place! NO! He also said we havent mucked in enough this season well what the fork does this mean next season is going to be like! MORE HOOFBALL? Why get carried away with an away win this season has been shambolic in spite of 7 wins in 12. No quality, no consistency, no good buys, money wasted, loans wasted, defensive stance, scared of the Sheffield Wednesdays (who we very kindly kept in this division, Worthys connections me thinks)Bugger off Wordindon! ZLF 274 Posted April 23, 2006 For me what was even more worrying than a never competetive 7th being acceptable was that he was praising the fact that we were workmanlike - we have been workmanlike all blooming season and look where that has got us.It also suggests that we will not be looking at players like koumas or idiakez to give us an injection of creativity that we so sorely need...A good result with an average performance (admittedly that means excellent in this seasons terms) in a meaningless end of season runabout tells us nothing - when performances were needed we have been found wanting time and time again over the last two seasons.
