paddycanary 539 Posted September 16, 2016 Martin for me but I like Bennett too. I don''t think Bennett''s form is great at the moment and Martin is more likely to stay fit to develop a reliable partnership with Klose. And Martin causes problems in the opposing box too as well as making more telling passes out of the defence. Also Bassong is effective at Championship level if required. Doubt we''ll see much of Turner this year. Martin gets stick on here but I can''t see a better group of centre-backs in this division. Or full-backs. I think Pinto/Martin, Martin/Bennett, Klose/Bassong, Olsson/Brady being shielded by Tettey is (on paper) the strongest defensive grouping this year at this level. Jacko 0 Posted September 17, 2016 Martin for me. Purley because Bennett''s distribution leaves a lot to be desired. In a league where we are going to probably monopolise possession for long spells I think it is important to have someone who can pass the ball put from the back effectively and well.
