Sunderland, Newcastle, Napoli and Dortmund

Apparently one of the key factors in Alonso agreeing to stay on next season was the promise that no key players would be sold, so it will be interesting to see how the title defence goes. History has shown that teams who unexpectedly win, or come close to winning, the league generally find it extremely tough to replicate, but this Leverkusen side does look pretty well equipped to have a good go.
This. Napoli were superb last season in winning Serie A.. this year nowhere near it

I think most (including myself) are just frustrated that we didnt push an initially flaky and shaky Leicester esp after going 1-0 up and just gave them and their fans impetus and belief by just sitting back and letting them do what they wanted. The loss was kinda expected and no shame in that, the manner of the performance though wasnt.

Just had to happen..

Since then they've been handed the softest of opportunities to get their fans back behind them. Even now they still look very flaky, but the cowardly (I think I saw that word used above, and I agree with it) tactics are offering no threat to them whatsoever. The Leceister of two months ago would be 6-0 up by now.
I 100% guarantee Birmingham (who play them Saturday) will go there and give them more problems and will do what we SHOULD of done today, but as usual ACN!

Branston "laughing" at my comment.. says it all. An utterly gutless and cowardly performance which Wagner could of done something about at HT, CHANGE something, DO something but no.. nothing.

Fck off Wagner

GUNNY.. what a SAVE
-
Flat.. that pretty much sums it up
-
I remember Gunny being in with the Norwich fans when we played West Ham at Upton Park, think it was 94-95 season, he had that terrible injury around Xmas then Marshall was in goal for the rest of the season, we was 2-0 up and chucked it away to draw 2-2.
"He's got no hair but we dont care" 🙂

An absolute pearler, how we could do with another SBJ these days

Just now, Indy said:No thanks, what we really missed was McLean at the back, he far better and more effective there than Hanley or Gibson!
Yep cant disagree Indy and now Nunez is out for god knows how long, unlikely we'l see him back there anytime soon, but you cant deny the Barnes/Sarge partnership has yielded a LOT of wins/goals when those 2 are playing together
-
I know il probably get caned for this but we missed Barnes, more to the point Barnes/Sarge from the start today, the intensity those two bring when starting seems to inspire the rest, seems one without the other just doesnt work, Sarge had I think one decent chance all game.

Interesting series 3 of Sunderland till I die is out on Netflix. Is there a more delusional club and fan base than Sunderland?
Ive personally always found the Mackems a good bunch

Think most people would of taken a point at Preston and a win today, so 4 points nothing to be scoffed at after the Wednesday collapse. Gunn was superb today, clear MOM
