I for one was quite surprised, especially with the firmer hand referees have had with cards this year.
The keeper was making no attempt on the ball - it was already past him - he was purely pushing Josh in frustration - should have been a yellow at least.

Agreed. Che Adams is said to be off to Everton - well if he'd been gone by the start of the season he wouldn't have been there to score against us at Southampton.

"Frankie and Zac were in the toilet, and I had the pleasure of watching him curl one into the top right-hand corner." I think there's a word for that and it involves glass toilets.

It's not so bad now the Coking Plant has shut down and the pollution doesn't form sulphuric acid in your lungs any more.

And where has the real Aussie gone? I thought they were the epitome of rough, tough, no nonsense fair dinkum machos. Even David Warner has chipped in. He said England would want to change the ball. The same Warner that cried after being involved in ball tampering.
Just love it when a plan comes together. Sacrificing the Netball to win the Football.
Wasn't that more about the Aussies getting a freekick every time one of them fell over, whereas our players had to be cut in half with a Samurai Sword to get one?

Yes, but It's only got a 1 horsepower motor........... ok, before the pedants strike, I know that a horse can have up to 15 horsepower of output.

It's like that Oxygen tank they put Robert Fleck in, and just as effective.

I've said it before..., but Rob Newman as a striker. What a terrible year to drop out of the top flight.

I certainly didn't dream of six goals in two games and more entertainment in those two games than the whole of last season. Plus, as everyone is saying, the spirit in the team feels so much better. Let's just hope it's not a false dawn.
EDIT: My biggest worry is how dependent we seem on Sara to glue this team together going forward. We've definitely been much better in attack since he came back from his operation.
Surely it was the same with Buendia, and we talked about enjoying him while he was with us, rather than worrying too much about how dependent we were on him... or maybe time has eroded my memory.

Isn't that the "Karma Sutra for Cricketers"? I never did get the hang of only polishing one side of my balls, and I felt intimidated by all the references to my "Short Third Man", and "No balls".

I hope this is less serious than feared and I wish him a speedy recovery.
Do you really think anyone on here will be pleased with his injury, or have I misunderstood your topic title?
I would wish such an injury on very few people - Kevin Muscat is the only name which springs to mind.
-
Could the same happen to Forest - what with their huge spending on getting promoted, or does that expenditure not count from a Family Planning Perspective, or whatever it is?
-
I thought some of our challenges on Saturday were at the "robust" end of the scale, and if Ward-Prowse has seen them he'll be nowhere near their game with us - if he has any sense.
BTW it was good to see us in Norman Hunter mode - Trevor would have been impressed.
-
They should send this to Stroud and ask him on which planet that is not handball(?)
-
He is determined to make himself look silly - there is no way that he could tell if the ball was out over the line or not from where he was - the assistant couldn't from a few yards away (but should have been closer - maybe a fitness issue?).
I would have more sympathy if he said that the player who deflected the ball to Idah had just got back up after being hauled to the ground by one of our players (Andy?), and so they should have had a freekick. But he didn't say that.
-
I've only watched the last few minutes, but he is refreshingly fair and honest. If only more fans were like him - and I'm sure his Mum loves him.
-
When playing from this end of the pitch, you'd certainly prefer to be on the right wing, rather than on the left.
-
Well if goals are in short supply we could always stick Rob up front, seeing as how it worked so well last time...(poster shudders at the memory).

I like it, but these things are always far too weighted to the recent past - was there no one at NCFC prior to the late 1980s-2000s?
To be fair, on the original mural Phil Boyer was depicted standing next to Paul McVeigh, but their faces were lost behind the CARROW ROAD lettering, so were painted out.
Can I be reported for a bit of casual Norfolk Heightism?

One aim for the season - don't lose to ITFC.... oh and finish above them...
OK, two aims for the season.... oh and don't get relegated...
OK, three aims for the season.
Anything else will be a bonus.

Well at least Barnes knows where the goal is. Great instincts. I have every confidence that we'll finish above the relegation zone.

I know it's not like stags rutting but this always happens at this time of year and I just can’t help surrendering to this primaeval urge. I would seek help, but I can’t get an appointment before the January window and fear that may be too late. Any suggestions chaps?
There's a youtube video called NCFC highlights 21/22 and 22/23. It's only 40 seconds long, so it's not a long watch. I suggest 8 minutes watching that on repeat and you'll soon get over any optimism.

I was not careful enough - OK there's a lot of Nordic origin people. It wouldn't have been the main deciding factor, but it probably wouldn't be a negative.

There's a lot of people descended from Scandinavians in that part of the States, so it makes sense for him to go there.

Sargents injury

Hmm. From some angles it looks like he shoves Josh in the back, causing him to fall badly and sustain the injury. More than bad luck in my book.
