  1. We have had so many wonderful times at carrow rd particularly in the last few years.

Couldn't really get my list down to 3 in terms of best moments, particularly because every time Huckerby received the ball feels like the best to me But the most memorable ones for me are:

    1. Steve Bruce v 1p5wich- On the way out of the ground my dad suggested taking a different route back home so we ended up walking up Thorpe rd just as the 1p5wich  fans came down chucking bricks at everything. Ended up crunching behind cars to avoid serious harm.

    2. The 1-7 home defeat, first game in league 1. Mental to think that that game led to the Lambert years and all those crazy last minute winners.

    3. Can't remember which game but again during lambert years. After yet another inspired substitution that led to victory my dad turned to me in disbelief and said about lambert "That lucky **** has got a ******* magic wand everything he does turns to gold."

  2. Great win yesterday. Watching match of the day and think they pretty much summed up our season. We have been great to watch but haven't taken enough of our chances.

I think this is why most Norwich fans aren't that upset about how the season has gone so far. I'm loving it. Maybe a cup run is just what we need. Have to admit I would love to see us win it.

I fail to see why anyone should be disgruntled at all. Three seasons ago we would have given our eye teeth for this, people seem to have very short memories.

As KG mentioned earlier in the thread, this generation has been thoroughly spoiled over the last twenty years with season upon season with either promotion or relegation in prospect. Some of you need to live through a decade of dross to see how life is for most football supporters. It is very easy to lose heart when you appear to be going nowhere for season after season and I know many who gave up during those times.

I see nothing to be downhearted about, we have valuable players, we are playing decent football. Yes, we are a bit out of our depth in this league and have not had the best of fortune with injuries but that shouldn't be a surprise when we look at the comparative financial clout. Farke and Webber have done ok with a very light purse and I for one won't be turning on them when we are relegated.

Could Huckerby defend as well ? Emi has everything that a modern footballer needs except his rolling around when it goes wrong. As a number 10 at a major club that will be something that he probably doesn’t do and if he does it won’t have the same impact.

No he could not defend but who cares. What he could do is win a game on his own. EMI is of course a far more complete footballer.

As someone once said of huckerby 'a scorer of great goals but not a great goal scorer' for me no one comes close in terms of excitement to seeing huckerby charging forward. But that's an aside this thread is about Emi.

  6. What a wonderful game football is. My 52 year old ears are still ringing too. Totally awesome performance from everyone today. I sit up top in the riverend and I've never known it so loud even my dad joined in!

I missed the Chelsea game and had been looking forward to today but not sure my weak body would make it. Dad offered to stay home and watch it with me but somehow we dragged ourselves down to the ground. During the Newcastle game I had to be lifted up out of my chair by my dad on one side and the bloke next to me the other. Three bloody times dragged to my feet, however today I was like the crippled man miraculously healed.

As Ricardo says what a time to be alive. Long may it continue.

  7. All you say is true. Crook was a fabulous player as were the others you mention. That is why I said arguably.

There are players in the current team who are going to be world class. Lewis, Godfrey, Aarons, Beundia.

We are very lucky to be NCFC supporters right now. Never felt more excited for the season ahead of us.

I saw a lot of the 92/93 team and many seasons either side. This team has 3 or at a push possibly 4 better players but we are playing in a far far better league. Who knows where we will end up, but both the first games are good indications of our worth.

That said, yesterday did not surprise me at all, despite the usual self important pre match cr4p from Newcastle fans (there will be plenty of other teams supporters to do the same and end up with egg on their faces) they were fortunate to get away from CR with it only 3-1.

Leitner was definitely destined for this league and he and Tom Trybull together, were superb for this match.

Agree with this. I’ve been a season ticket holder since the late 70’s and agree there are players in this team that are ridiculously good. The 92-93 team were a great team but arguably had no stars.

  9. Changes needed. I'm surprised at how much we have missed EMI. He has got that little bit of magic that no one else in the team can match. I'm not panicking as we so easily could have won the last home game.

no Cantwell on Friday and possibly no McLean that would be my choice.

Can someone tell Farke that sometimes at substitute at half time can be a good idea.
