  1. A loan move sounds plausible-Ghana are still in the World Cup, so he might just want to play.Sky Sports suggesting his agent has notified Champions League teams, but doubt we''d have dreamed of getting Fer during close season. One can hope until either, he goes somewhere else, or the xfer window closes!

  2. One can dream, but if we''re after a strong defensive midfielder, then what about Steven Defour, or even Michael Essien.Doubt we''d get either, with wages a problem, but both have "suggested" Jan moves might interest them. Would be a dream pairing with Fer.Apols if this has been debated before.

  3. But at the time Hughton made the substitution, how many fans knew (unless they were in the dressing room at half time) that Hoops was complaining of a tight muscle.Fans are emotional, and at the time frustrated at seeing our best striker taken off. On this occasion (yes there have been plenty of times when Hughton''s substitutions have baffled us all) Hughton was being somewhat sensible and taking precautions, most likely with one eye on the palace game.

  4. Whilst the last four games look horrendous on paper, teams do go off the boil as places are normally already sorted.Who would have predicted us getting a 3-2 win away at Man C last year! But better to be safe than sorry, and hope we aren''t playing for survival come those games

  5. Isn''t this the same old Norwich of years gone by. Raise their game against the bigger boys, and put in poor shows against the teams we should be beating. After Fulham, it''s impossible to know what sort of performance NCFC will put in. Few of us would have predicted a 2-0 away at WBA with our poor away record, so here''s hoping the same against Palace. But the inconsistency is the major worry, and getting some sort of run seems impossible this season

  6. But Morty, if players are expected to cut the cloth, then Elmander has been a failure. He wasn''t bought in to "dirty it up" he was bought as a striker. No goals in almost 18 premier games doesn''t tell the full story (yes he links up well etc etc) but for a striker that''s worse than pretty much every striker we''ve ever had at City!RVW needs more time, to get his fitness, and confidence back, and to have s run where he starts to play games with the rest of the team. Natural goals scorers always find the net. Holty did it at every level. Hoops is now proving that. I, for one, believe Becchio would have done (why was he never played last season when no-one else in the team was scoring!) had he been given a chance, which he hasn''t, & I''m sure RVW will start to prove his worth given time. But when you;re not scoring much, and your back four don''t even play school boy basics, you''re in trouble!

  7. Hughton said, “I haven’t changed my initial opinion from what I said after the game,”

he said. “We were up against a world class player but if you afford him

the time we did that is what he can do. They and he certainly

capitalised on that. He is a top, top player."Then why as a manager are you not resolving the woeful defensive lapses. Why as a manager did you yet again go into a game like this unprepared. Why did you let again allow him such space to roam, and not do your homework. It''s not like you don''t know what he''s done to Norwich before. He now says he needs leaders on the pitch. Well perhaps dropping Elmander & Bassong who don''t seem  at the races for us this season. Elmaders job as a striker is primarily to get goals. None scored. Bassong we all know what he can do, but not this season. So get Becchio on and Bennett. They can do no worse, and probably a darn sight better, and for goodness sake give them a chance! If it''s not working, as a manager this is Chris Hughtons job to change things (4-0 down before he decides to bring on his first sub!). If, game in game out it''s all going pearshaped, the buck stops with you as manager. It''s your job to organise the team, get the players playing, sort out the tactics, the leaky defense. The buck stops with the manager!Quite clearly, time and time again, you are saying the same thing, and yet quite clearly not being capable of addressing the issues you keep talking about.Don''t get me wrong. I wanted Hughton in, but it''s all now getting quite tiring and frustrating.

  8. If you were an oversees player, would you go for what the history of a club (e.g. Everton are more famous than us) or it''s current status (e.g. they have a brand new manager with not exactly a great track record and guarantees they will be successful)Either presents a risk. Has the purposrted everton bid been accepted?

  9. I''d still prefer Hooper, but if we were to get get Maxi, we must give him a chance. Let''s just say that when the signings of Turner and Bassong were announced, I suspect there were one or two reservations, but have really impressed. If this guy bangs in a couple of goals, or nets a winner, I''m sure the negative feelings will disappear.Let''s just wait and see
