I’ve said it all season - Wagner costs us too many points with his poor tactical decisions. He won’t get us promoted. I don’t even think into the play offs. I hope we get rid this summer.

Just because you've repeated yourself time and time again doesn't make you correct.

Presumably you give Wagner credit for the many times his substitutions have won us matches this season? Or I suppose you see that as more evidence he gets the starting line up wrong?

Is that like saying Buendia covered up for Farke? When he was in the team we’d get points despite Farke, but when he was injured/suspended our form was relegation material?

This is exactly right. It's actually pathetic that people are saying our best players "cover up for Wagner".

It goes without saying that a team is going to be poorer when losing their best players. This is true of even the very best teams in the country, and especially true when you consider the (lack of/ depth in our squad.

Trying to twist injuries into an anti-manager stance just shows these people aren't arguing in good faith.

Yep I think the lino has looked at the defenders near Barnes and he looks marginally nearer the goal than them, but even that is marginal, & as people has said he’s actually behind the ball. Shame for him as he clearly wants to get some goals for us.

Actually an awful decision to rule that out, he must be a yard behind McCallum and the ball when it's played.

Linesman should be seeing that surely?

  4. Very strange comparison (and I do anticipate this is a bit of a wind-up), but Wagner has achieved nothing with Norwich yet.

If he somehow gets us up, and somehow we survive in the top tier it will be a valid argument to have, until then Farke is clearly head and shoulders above Wagner.

I think everyone knows deep down that Rowe’s talent has been under-utilised and another team is going to “make him”

We've probably seen his last action as a Norwich player and he’s probably going to be sold under value (or at the very least I don’t have much faith we’ll get good value for him)

What do you mean "under-utilised"? Is he not our top scorer and has been pretty much a guaranteed starter under Wagner?

So many precious little darlings on this thread. Of course I'm a supporter if I boo a sub, boo the manager, boo Delia or boo the programme man. In fact, I'm a fan that is passionate enough to care enough to do so. Grow up - saying you're not allowed to boo....

    You self-righteous twaats.

Don't disagree with this at all, but surely then people have the right to point out booing when the team is winning 2-1, and then go on to win 4-2, makes you look particularly moronic, as well as petulant and childish?

Don't get it twisted- I was disappointed in the lineups + subs both last night and at the weekend. However I think some people need to look inward and realise that the ****ty atmosphere is going to become a real detractor to the team very quickly. What would the next Gabriel Sara think about moving here if this is considered the norm?

Just out of interest, why were you disappointed with the line-up last night? Without Rowe, it's difficult to see how Wagner could pick a more attacking line up.

  8. For me, it is very simple. I want the club to achieve the best it can at any one time - that includes promotion from this division regardless of how we get on with the Premiership.

I am really confused with the lack of ambition from a lot of the fans - I get that it's not great to see us being smashed every week in the Premiership, but that's the reality if we want to progress. I would also hope that Knapper's approach would be very different to Webber's in the Premiership, and that we would have learnt something as a club from these experiences.

Also, the massive point that I think the "stay in Championshippers" miss is that without progress to the Premiership, and the money that comes along with it, there would be absolutely no guarantee we would be competing at the top of the Championship in the coming years. Far more likely is that we would lose all our best players, struggle to attract the Sainz/Sara style in-betweeners, and become a mid to lower table team with other teams taking our place.

It's simply not an "either-or" situation - without the yo-yo style Premership money and exposure we would start to drop like a stone.

With the benefit of hindsight and the final score, the booing seems idiotic. But sat there watching the momentum of the game slip away from us then removing the two most effective players on the night certainly seemed complete lunacy. I didn't boo, but there were definitely people in the South Stand who took offence to those subs and were booing. It doesn't take many motivated voices to start to resonate around the stadium, especially once the part of the lizard brain kicks in.

TBH I was just really sad to see Onel have to traipse round the pitch to boos when actually he'd had a very good game. No way should he have been hooked for Fassnacht at that point in the game. Terrible decicision at the time, but DW got lucky.

But the reality of the situation is that both Hernandez and Sarge were blowing and needed to be substituted (according to Wagner after the game any way). This was illustrated pretty clearly by our increased control of the match with the substitutions that were made.

This is my main problem with the booing - it's usually based on half a story, or a perceived notion of what the story is. I get that this is really a cumulative cause/effect based on the season, but I really don't think people consider the injuries Wagner has had to deal with, or the lack of depth in our squad.

The football we played early doors last night was very attractive and entertaining IMO. If this was peoples' main concern with Wagner, I don't think it's reasonable to boo considering that we are making progress, and have now hit the top six.

The first set of subs didn't, they made it 2-2 not long after.

What changed is we stopped being so defensive at that point which we are bloody awful at.  Wagner won't win fans over until he stops trying to see out games from so far out when we don't have the physical or mental capabilities to do it.

On the front foot we're as good as anyone from 4th down, Wagner has to learn to play to our strengths.

That's just patently untrue though isn't it? Agreed, they scored their equaliser after the substitutions, but Watford had far more control, dominance and overall chances prior to this. Indeed, had it not been for some great last ditch defensive work by Gibson, Watford could have been winning at half time.

This is far more about those people who have strongly decided Wagner is a terrible coach, and are jumping on any minor point they can.

  11. Would be very surprised if our number one target wasn't a proper DM and Barnes drops to the bench with Sara +1 further forward. I believe Wagner would rather play Sara further forward given how the season started, but we just don't have the personnel ATM.

  12. Bit of magic really, considering the potato field of a pitch, the sheer natural ability to just adjust and curl it in with the outside of his boot was magnificent.

Also took it early so the keeper had no chance; how many times did we see a certain Teemu Pukki score from similar areas?
