Excellent, I shall lunch there tomorrow.[Y]
Sorry to raise your expectations there, Ricardo. He hasn''t actually been hired yet. Maybe hold off until mid Jan?

  2.
Fair enough if you want a change, but why Di Matteo?
Good question.Because he knows how to win and has tasted victory at the highest level of club football.Due to his success as a player and manager, he would command the respect of the players.Everyone has there learning curve and I believe NCFC would be a great fit for him at this point in his career.90% of British managers suck and there really isn''t a home-grown choice that comes to mind that wouldn''t be anything more than rearranging the furniture, when what is required is a complete rebuild of mental fortitude.

  3.
the amount of money this bloke would want would cost the equivalent of a quality midfielder, then, if it all goes wrong youve got to pay him off the equivalent value of a south of france vineyard no thanksbritish manager please
Just like cars or carpets.... you get what you pay for.

  4.
All this unrest and apart from everyone being keyboard warriors why has there been no chants / banners / protests?
Great question! And unfortunately Bor Bor Bor has hit it on the head. Apathy.Fans are too busy to truly get up in arms, unless something truly outrageous happens, i.e. Sunderland and Di Canio.Bill Hicks sums it up best:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfd0_7BcU-0The general apathy that has become apart of the everyday diet of tripe is gradually seeping over into other areas of our lives and eroding the bedrock of our will to actually do anything meaningful about what upsets us.But that''s a different topic completely.

  5.
theres 18 games left, agent hughton clearly intends to try and draw them all and stay up with 38 points, i for one will take great pleasure in watching this tactical genius drift Norwich to safety
Spoken like someone who has happily drifted into resorting to talking with the sheriff a few times a week, rather than having the misses taking care of more than the hot dinners.

  7. Today was the last straw for me. I''m all in on the Houghton out campaign. Any joy and excitement I had that was built up over the previous seasons has now been extinguished. I''m not as numb or in as much despair as the dark days of being relegated to League 1, but I have certainly become numb to anticipated excitement of watching NCFC play. For those of you who are in a position of business ownership or management, you will agree that their are two things that top the list when it comes to employee/team members damaging productivity and creativity.1.) An employee who doesn''t learn from their mistakes and disguises their inadequacy with simply going through the motions.2.) An employee who has ''quit'' while on the job and simply goes through the motions to continue collecting a pay check. Both are very costly to any business or team.I''m afraid that Houghton possess a strong shade of both. The club should''ve done better over the Christmas period and we are now in a precarious position. I know we''re 3 points from 10th  and 3 points from relegation, but I''m talking about something much more inherent that is lacking in the team; confidence, trust and the will to win.Children are a reflection of their parentsEmployees are a reflection of their bossTeam Athletes are a reflection of their managerWe are poor on ALL fronts and those who say we ''had a good game'', well, this is only relative to the 5hite we''ve become accustomed to watching week after week. Why is it that we get so excited when NCFC are able to string 10 passes together and finish with a shot on target? Because we only see it twice a game, if we''re lucky. We lack IDEAS on the pitch. We''re uncoordinated and continue to make poor decisions in critical areas of the pitch. the only ''shots'' we are consistently able to muster are from 25yds+, which have a low conversion rate. When was the last time our strikers where put through on goal? Or got behind the defense to cause problems? When was the last time we worked the ball into the box and made the keeper earn their paycheck? And I''m not talking about deliveries from dead-ball situations. but legitimately worked the ball up the field and finished with a quality attempt? Okay, you might be able to recall one or two, but is that something we can trust the players to execute time and again? No. We struggle to put three or four passes together with any real intention and ask questions of the opposition. What does a person become when they don''t have a leader to guide the

way? You get a mercenary. What do mercenaries look out for? Themselves. At this point I now strongly believe that CH is not the manager to take us FORWARD. We''re stuck in neutral and for some reason seem content with watching the 5hit show week in, week out.Who would I choose as a replacement?  Roberto Di Matteo

  8.

Pretty much a must win for Fulham as they only have 3 of the bottom half left to play at home. Absolutely disasterous for West Ham who also only have 3 of the bottom half left to play at home plus everyone from Liverpool down to Swansea, then the top 4 away. A decent win for WBA all be it against 10 men but again their remaining fixtures look harder than ours.
Our run is looks pretty bad, three of the top four at home.  In the end everyone is playing everyone else again.  As I said earlier, I think we will stumble over the line.  But if this is building a team, it is going nowhere fast.  There is no discernable improvement on the pitch from last season, and we have better players this term.I must admit my expectations for this season were a little higher than battling it out with a declining Sunderland, imploding Cardiff, Strikerless West Ham and an appalling Crystal Palace side.
Agreed!I sum it up with the three ''B''sBeige, Blah & Boring. There is genuinely nothing to get excited about on game day. I don''t get excited when we have possession and sadly enough, I don''t get excited when we score, because I have the inherent feeling that the team simply doesn''t know how to win games, unless the opponent completely capitulates.I place this lack of mental strength and determination squarely on the coaching and management style. There was a reason Grant Holt had to leave; his ''go out and fight for it'' mentality wasn''t welcome. I''m not bringing up the topic of if Grant Holt was good enough to play for NCFC at the prem level or not, but no one could question his ferocity and willingness to win a game.Right now we look as though we''re simply trying to survive 90 minutes. We look like a sad team that is hoping that other teams play worse than us.

  9.
You''ve got the commentary mixed up I think.
I believe the throw in game was Millwall when Lansbury scored in the last minute.
The commentary you''re on about is definitely from another game, the 3-2 at home to Derby in the Penultimate home game of the Championship promotion season. The commentary can be found in the link below.

Cheers! Just bookmarked the page. Truly a timeless moment.....

  10. First... hats off to the man for what he did with NCFC. We were lost and no we''re found. We were blind and now we see. I will buy him his drinks all night, every night, for the shift he put in and the position he left us. Never was there a more exciting time to support city than when Sir Lambert was at the helm.Do you remember Chris'' commentary .... after McNally threw to Lambert, Lambert throws to someone I can''t remember, who throws the ball in play and "CHHAAAANNCEEEE  IT"S GONE IN....IT''S GONE IN...."Can''t remember who the team was we beat, but I sat in my chair weeping with joy for at least 3 minutes.Anyway, for all of those who believe a return by the Messiah will bring tidings of good joy .... let it go. And here''s why:Lambert is a great manager, a fantastic manager, a manager that can bring the best out of an average, young player. The key word their being ''young''. He is a phenomenal manager when it comes to hanging the carrot out and motivating young players who have little experience at the highest level. However, he is not very good with coaching/managing/motivating players who are established, wise to the game and have strong egos. But his tenure here was one helluva ride.....

  11.
Surely you 10 pt scenario should be 11 why would you give us a point against Man U in the first scenario then take it away in the second !!!!!
Great observation. Unfortunately in the 10pt scenario everyone gets excited that we''ll be playing in Europe next year because we picked up 7 point son the trot and we become over zealous, giving up 3 goals to a fired up Manure team that had a visit from the ghost of old man Fergi on Christmas eve - He''s not really dead of course, he''s just covered himself in talc for effect, but that still carries a fear factor -  who puts the fear in the red devils about the spirit of Manure past, present and future.

  12.
That 12 pts are a very high possibility from our next 5 games
Oh...I see what you did there.... Because my answer to the question in the subject line would be, "not many of us".Very clever there Bob....But, to answer your 12py question. I don''t think I can agree with ''very high''. I would say that there''s a slim chance of gaining 12pts from the next 5 games. But looking over the schedule I''d be more likely to reach for 10 and believe that 7 is very possible.

7 Points:Swansea at Home 1 ptSunderland Away 1 ptFulham at Home 3 ptsMan U at Home 1 ptCrystal Palace Away 1pt10 Points:Swansea at Home 1 ptSunderland Away 3 ptsFulham at Home 3 ptsMan U at Home 0 ptsCrystal Palace Away 3ptsIs 12 possible? Certainly, but I''m not sure I can agree with ''very high possibility''.I like our chances though...

    IO= input/Output

Quag= a mashy or boggy place

liarella= female who cannot tell the truth''

From intensive research, I can confirm Fabio Quagliarella is female, who cannot tell the truth, lives in a $hithole though denies it....and has a 2 holes, an input and output.

I have checked with him that this is true and he says yes.

Sounds like a great definition for a hooker to me.

Is she going to sign anytime soon? May she could be the new mascot?
