I think this is a trap. Its someone from Portsmouth trying the get rid of a 3rd Division football team. Despite his assurances I think you''ll find that you''ll be left with some players who are on stupid contracts that you can''t get rid of.
You have been warned!

Give up Wiz... Why would the club lie? And where has the money gone if they are?
Its called spin and PR my friend.
Just like they lied about nearly going into administration & Grant Holts injury.
After Worthington got the push. I''m even pleased we got Grant rather than Pulis.
So are you saying that he was interviewed but Grant was chosen? I not sure that means we were after him.
-
When were we after Pulis?
-
We don''t know exactly what was in Lambert''s contract. We don''t know the exact nature of the conversation between Lambert and the board after Villa approached Norwich about him. Therefore it is pointless speculating when we have absolutely no clue what happened.
I seem to remember that Tangible Fixed Assets Anyone? got a look at the contracts, perhaps he could clear up this confusion as to what was in them.
Anyone know where we can get hold of those Admiral shirts the legends were wearing?
Retro Home Shirt 1978 is available on the web site and probably from the club shops. Or you could try e-mailing Darren Eadie via the web site he founded to sell off this kind of stuff, I''m sure they''d put the shirts worn up for auction.

Doing the same thing three times and not remembering what you said yesterday, you''re senile.

WIZ you just talk out your ar5e i find just about everything you say boring, dull and its usually an attempt at getting some attention for yourself. Of course to you any attention is better than no attention EVEN IF ITS NEGATIVE!!!!!!!
Wow! [:D]
It does beg the question that if GC thinks that, why does he (and others) bother reading Wiz''s threads? There are some very rare moments when he gets thing right, like on a previous page when he attributed our success to DS & MWJ.
Wiz has been called;
A frail old man
An embarassment to our club
A jerk and an embarassment
Old, infirm and incontinent man
A tenalady wearer
An attention seeker
A one trick pony
Spot on Green Jack.

Are the Mr Fry puppets available in the club shop?

Even the three newly promoted sides have more financial clout than us, in fact, we''re the paupers of the Prem, a fact I believe is courtessy of Delia Smith''s stubben refusal to retire and stand down.
Don''t kid yourself that the board run things now, the real power still lies with the Stomarket two.
And she will NEVER allow some rich foreigner to take away her favourite toy.....and as a Premiership club don''t tell me we''re not ripe and attractive to a foreign prospective investor or owner.
Just remember this as other clubs complete their buisness
Surely you must see this.[:@]

Never a truer word spoken. Now all the Bovril drinkers will try and chop you down, and defend her highness.
Noone wants a sugar daddy to run the club into non-existence, but investment to give us a competitive budget each year is desperatley needed.
Her highness'' grip on our yellow and green balls needs to be loosened.
Last year we were very competitive and this year the budget has been increased so we must be more competitive.
Its nice to see the Wizard chappie acknowledging that our success has been down to the power that DS & MWJ hold over the rest of the board, who knows where we''d be without thier brilliant stewardship.
That''s a red rag to a bull if we were to rewind 3 or 4 years back[:P]
But you''ll agree that its important to live in the present and as Wiz has said the power and the glory is with MWJ & DS. I feel we are all a lot more informed of the facts now that Wiz has cleared things up for us.

Before that we were known as little old Norwich with that funny sounding builder.

Its also pleasing to note that MWJ''s mum lived to 101 so he''ll be around for a while aswell.

Just in case anyone else was not sure;

Stop being silly Wiz!
I''m not, I know my City history, you obviously don''t, you just swallow the myth.
You obviously don''t know your City history, you''ve swallowed the Watling myth, he was always a middle man and he probably didn''t use his money to buy the shares, the shares were only ''resting'' in his account.

Happy Birthday Delia!!!

In time we''ll see how this pans out, If IC & GC do resign to join PL at Villa then we should expect them to be replaced by some new faces as McNally stated that they would like to see the coaching staff expanded. Unless in the mean time they ''take another look'' and decide not to!
If they stay then we''ll see how they''re going to fit in with Hughton''s current team.
-
I''ve got a feeling Lambert will fall flat on his face. Expectations will be massive and let''s face it... Holt''s goals made his tactical naivity look better than it often was.
Surrounded by big time Charlies on huge money will be very different to dealing with hungry players on the rise and grateful for a club.
Cluck Nose nothing.
-
Lightning isn''t going to strike twice.
Finding another striker like Grant Holt will be an impossibility given our lowly wage structure so we will have to rely on a team effort to score the goals season season.
I suggest boosting the defence as it will likely be one way traffic.
Cluck Nose nothing.

Sounds good Nutty but think I''ll wait until it''s available on the torrent sites thanks.
Do you think I might be onto something with the Chase/O''Neill/Windass scenario?
Do you think PL might have been led to believe something which he has subsequently found out not to be the case much like M O''N back in the day?
it has to be something to do with the money doesn''t it?
Just like with Chase but this time without the backlash.
Yet........
Now this game of yours, what precautions are available to stop doppelgangers and impersonators? I''m convinced I bumped into somebody impersonating your son last night.

This time around the ''support'' is brainwashed into seeing Delia Smith as the ''only'' ownership option if we want ''security''.
Clever propaganda but neurotic to say the least.
HOUSE!
Next game, all four corners.
-
And the brainwashed Deliarites rush to their Saviour''s defence.
How very predictable.
This is so predictable, I bet my colleague that you''d post this and he refused to take the bet, he''s started working on ''Cluck posts bingo cards'' to help us through the day.
-
How different the reaction would be on here today.
He''d would''ve sold Grant Holt to pay off a short term loan with Barclays?

Sorry to say it wasn''t fake, I have seen the original press photo, it was for some event she was fronting, but years ago!

Sadly I''m old enough to remember Swap Shop, she was hosting an outside broadcast on the day they were in the FA Cup Final, the reverse side of the blue and white scarf & rosette were yellow and green, she said some thing like although she wished them well in the game she was keeping City''s colours close to her heart.
