...and 20% has been left behind by not taking advantage of Gift Aid.

    Words fail me.

I remember a few years ago when prices got set at a 30 max for away fans, and Delia didn't want home fans paying more.

I see that idea is out the window now then, if home fans are 12 and away ones 10.

Technology can be a challenge if it is not done right. The Internet signal for the cashless purchase of a programme in the stadium perimeter being a clear case in point and could be described as hairbrained.

The already developed 'friends and family' could easily be updated for purpose and adds to fans convenience in not having to transfer the season ticket. There is no way of actually stopping them doing  the latter except to make clear that it is not permissible and employ checks to make sure it doesn't happen. Some Clubs are actively doing this as it protects the rights of those who have paid for Memberships vis-a-vis those who haven’t and as such is the right thing to do.

    Give your head a wobble.

It's totally unenforceable,  unpractical and unnecessary.

It's additional overheads with no increased revenue. What does the club achieve?

The first step would be to insist that everyone enters with their own membership card even when borrowing from a season ticket holder.

The steward on our gate doesnt even look at the machine when you offer your card up, how is that going to be monitored / utilised.

putting the access from the season ticket onto a membership cards comes at a cost - and the club wont cover it. The attending person has a card that would work (the ST),  or one that he has to pay to get upgraded (their membership) - Absolutely no appetite for that at all.

Then assuming that happens what if the card doesnt work (we have had that more that once on official season tickets, and you have to prove ID to the ticket office - you wont have that for the season ticket!

Do you think through your hairbrained ideas before you post them ?

The gesture is from the adult fan who pays £2 more than a visitor with no prior knowledge at least up until now. Since when has an OAP not been an adult?

Delia might care to note that the hospitality section at Millwall was both a good deal more raucous and cheaper than it's Carrow Road equivalent.

    on a bike!

2024 may well be a New Year but the same old record is being played by you know who. However in this case if you take out coffin dodger and tickets for those U20 he has a bit of a case just this once mate.

As you will know, a life long crusade will straddle many a new year

A stick is not just for Christmas........................

  6. My understanding is with the concerts the club rents the stadium to the promoters and therefore other than the income from the rent, they get nothing from the mech or food / drink sales.

Also works that if if flops they have no exposure to any shortfalls etc.

I guess for a larger stadium the rent would be higher.

Ben Kensell stated a few years ago we were able to purchase two? parcels of land behind the City & Barclay stands for something like £500k? Cannot remember the exact figures

Correct, although whilst low the figures were never officially disclosed iirc.

    For football, not concerts. Income.

    (1) I have already mentioned the competition from Bristol Rovers and from Premiership RU.

    (2) I assumed that you had been reading this thread, despite the need to come up with cheap jibes about monkey tennis or something.

    Jeez.

    This place gets worse......

Well done if you haven't missed a home game for 12 years, I am nearer the 90% mark which was apparently fairly typical pre-pandemic though doubtless much higher now. As for away games I have declined from around 15 a season to about 5. If the Club want supporters at Swansea and Middlesborough for midweek games they should simply pay for the tickets. It would cost them peanuts rather than continuous management speak claptrap about separate products.

They need to show some imagination and enthusiasm for Home Games too. They can't do it quite like Dagenham but the attached illustrates the kind of customer sensitive approach that is needed.

Dagenham & Redbridge FC | DAGGERS LAUNCH NEW “Flexi Tickets”

Shouldn't be surprised but you've avoided the question I asked again.

    I give up.

Not sure whether you would be at Carrow Road more or less often? Would still give you some time to support the Daggers flex ticket.

I have a season ticket at Carrow Road and dont recall ever missing a home game in 12 years of ownership.

I visit Dagenham a few times as have family that way, so coincide with visiting family etc. Its not either or.

Would you care to answer my question about how your suggestion is enforceable.  I'll give you a clue - it isn't.

The issue at Carrow Road is that many supporters doubtless sharing their season tickets. In a sense this is generous since many other clubs don't permit it. What it doesnt address though is that those who benefit from the sharing can sit in a prime seat without having made any financial commitment to the Club. Why not require those people to buy their Club Memberships and season ticket holders to use the family and friends facility to transfer their season tickets accordingly? The increased memberships may avoid the need for any season ticket increase alongside bringing other spin offs to the Club for marketing and security purposes. Correspondingly Home Membership with limited practical attendance options is a key reason for the empty seats.

    Seriously?

You surely see how that'd never work.

You moan about the away membership and then float a ridiculous idea about the club charging extra for someone to use a ticket that's already been paid for.

Give your head a wobble, and put the keyboard away.
