We began the season like champions and sarge was on fire. His injury then saw us nosedive but now he is back and we are winning again. He is a huge benefit not only for his goals but for stretching the play and doing unseen good. Fast becoming my favourite player - really hope he stays for years to come and other teams don’t poach him. A canaries legend in the making

Yea why take off the young energetic striker and not the old clogger??! Especially then the younger one actually scored. Another tactical masterclass from Wagner

Much better performance- hope we don’t rue the spurned chances to double that lead- they look decent when in possession

It’s going to be hard to attract the sort of player we want given the position we are in. Players we are linked with have all also been linked to clubs either in the PL or higher in the Championship.
I also understand why he hasn’t been interviewed. He’s going to get questions on Wagner and his future along with the vision and that’s super awkward if he’s not in the long term plan, impossible to navigate satisfactorily.
“We are going to sit down in the summer and start to put in place our exciting vision plan for the future. There will be changes ahead but we will not be revealing them until the season is done. But rest assured that we will seek to hold onto those who prove they can perform and want to be a part of the next chapter. Please be patient until then”
Job done.

You are not alone. The man was rushed home early from holiday seemingly to do nothing. Talk about mixed messaging from the club!
I can accept he needs time, or wants to wait for the summer for a proper clear out, or the club is waiting for investment that is coming soon- or there is simply no money - or anything really. But they don’t talk to us- and that is where the problem is. A total failure to communicate a vision for fans to buy into.
We were also told knapper was a stats man. Yet all the dismal stats surrounding Wagner are ignored. The longer he does nothing and says nothing- the more he will lose the fan base. At present he doesn’t look like a great dynamic signing from Arsenal (as was suggested) but a silent yes man who is too timid to take action. That might be very unfair - but what has he or the club given us to judge otherwise?

We are sliding fast in terms of quality. To sell our last remaining jewels without bringing anyone in is going to be damaging for recruitment and will consign us to lower half champs or worse. We simply have to hold onto Gunn, Rowe, Sara and sarge and build a proper team around them in the summer if we are to have any ambition at all.
oh and sack a manager whose negative football and insane selections and tactics is definitely making us under perform

We are national league, say we are national league… still at least we now have action man Knapper who has been active in this window sorting out our management issues and obvious gaps in the team…
-
Maybe sell and then loan back for a season? Or is that too hopeful.
I am still shocked (in a bad way) that Aarons went for only £7m - I wouldn’t get any hopes up for a good pay day
-
And now we learn he was not poised and ready to pounce once the window opened. Not ready to tell us what the vision is under his watch.
So again I ask- is he napping?
I can’t remember such a time of silent inertia in all my time supporting the club. What is going on? -
Well Webber did that before he went sour- hiring farke in days- and we benefited enormously. And even if he does want time to observe - just come out and tell us- this is what I think will happen in summer - please be patient.

No not like that. A timid interview followed by no action is not what was needed after crisis of late stage Webber. We needed to see action and clear change of direction, we have seen neither. He’s invisible and in leadership that isn’t good.
-
It is possible that his exit was for show and he is currently coaching knapper as agreed - hence radio silence - and that the plan is for knapper to actually get control at end of the season. If that is so it’s a disaster - but obviously nobody can know. What we can say is that there is a real disconnect at present and since arrival knapper has hardly hit the road running

I expected he would sack a non performing manager on arrival. If not I would have expected him to come out and tell us what the vision is and what to expect into the future.

He has been here for months and has - from the outside - done absolutely nothing. Given the situation that doesn’t reflect well. He should either have acted to demonstrate he has a vision - or else come out and explained his vision and the reason nothing has yet happened. To do neither is not good leadership given the disconnect
-
Slowly too- gives opposition sooo much time to reorganise
-
For charging highest prices in the championship given the dross served up and the obvious lack of ambition?
-
1 hour ago, Branston Pickle said:Why - because we haven’t loaned two players in, both of whom you’d have undoubtedly said weren’t what we needed?
No because a misfiring manager hasn’t been fired, we haven’t made any moves yet when they so clearly need making and we don’t seem to be addressing the crisis at all
-
I suspect - no money to fire him. No money to apppoint a new candidate. No money to back a new manager in the window. So just frozen
-
And again I ask is knapper napping? He came in early due to the pressing need for him…and seems to have done nothing since. What’s the point of him?
-
We seem frozen in headlights as a club. Total inertia from the top

Idah can go too - how many chances does one man need

Dross. Fans have been given so little to cheer. Players lack passion. Manager has no clue. We look no better than the L1 team in front of us. Hard times for the yellow army

He had a terrible first touch when he arrived and made some real clangers- but I always liked him and felt he could become a cult hero. But I didn’t expect him to progress as he has - a very clever and hard working player. I fear the paucity of decent number 9s may lead to a lot of interest from elsewhere in the summer - but hope he stays to lead our line for years to come.
