  1. Whilst our squad isn''t that big it doesn''t help that Hughton has consistently frozen out certain players. If he decides to not utilise his full squad well that''s his problem he knew what he was coming into. Certain players were utilised very well last season but now can''t even get on the bench, I still feel CH doesn''t know his best team!

  2. Am losing faith in Hughton, I didn''t expect anything from today''s game but I didn''t expect us to rollover either. CH and his staff have taken a team last season that was one of the most offensive to being shot shy.

In return we have got better defenders in but still conceded more goals, that is some achievement. How many times have I heard they were soft goals for us to concede, well when will his coaching start to pay dividends?

At no point from January last season did I feel we''d get relegated, now under Hughton we are in free fall, playing shite football and shot shy. If we go behind I don''t expect a win under him, he is looking as inept as recent managers bar the previous manager.

  3. Have to say I don''t mind losing as long as we give it a good go. The old saying "winning is not important but the wanting to win is" is so paramount.

Have to say Charlie Wyett needs a reality check too, we are looking devoid of ideas, ambition and fight to beat teams! Hughton has to change his tactics as there is no reason bidding for new strikers when we don''t bother attacking teams!

  4. Both clubs took on new managers at the start of the season but how different it''s turning out for both.

Under Laudrupp Swansea have become more attack minded and made great signings one who has turned out to be one of the best buys of the season. By the end of January they are almost safe. They go to all games to attack and give it a go.

Under Hughton we have become too defensive, respectful of the other teams and negative in our set up. We go away to teams to not get beat and we talk about only getting beat by the odd goal. We face a nervous period as we are in free fall and conceding goals at an alarming rate.

  5. In my opinion Jackson is an hard working lad and runs his heart out but when in fron of goal seems to lack the composure at this level to be successful. All those who think this is what it takes....well at some point the strikers have to score goals and if they don''t should they be in the team.

After all we don''t offer defenders or the goalkeeper the same level of sentiment if they don''t do their jobs properly.

  6. Who are the fickle in this debate.....the ones who think this brand of football will keep us up or those fearing we may go down?

Goalscoring has been a major problem all season under Hughton, what has he done to undermine the finishing of the team where last season we wereone of the leagues best scorers. Yes we may have been more defensive in tactcis but when we get chances you don''t feel any confidence that we''ll stick one away!!

I am alarmed that we have signed better defenders than last season but we still don''t want to attack teams, especially when a bit of urgency and creativity going forward we would be feeling better about our position. We don''t seem to have enough to ever finish a team off .

Tin hat at the ready for suggesting negativity lol ;)

  7. We seem to be the team with momentum, a negative one at that. Today showed that confidence is so important and with our fixtures other teams seem to be making more of a fight than what we are.

I feel we have a scoring problem and I don''t feel Hughton knows how to get us working in this area. Yes, I know I''ll get some stick for this but don''t believe you can pick and choose which games we can win as confidence and momentum will play a large part especially when we come to the business end of the season when the pressure is on.

  8. Do you actually think we''ll sign a top quality striker seeing our last striker was a spurs yts.

We are nearly a third of the way into the window and the striking problem hasn''t just reared its head up so are we going to wait until the eleventh hour?

There''s a large bounty up for grabs next season so lets show some ambition.

McNally said the club wants to change the strip every season as that''s what the big clubs do, let''s see this big club thinking follow into other areas of the club too!

  9. We need a new striker to push Holt/Morrison and keep the momentum of the team going in the right direction. If we don''t add to the squad I feel we will start the slippery slope down to those unwanted places as the goals not coming from the strikers.

The more goals we get, it will help take the pressure off the defence which has been letting in too many soft goals recently. Its a win/win situation to bring in more strikepower!!

  10. If at the end of the transfer window we have not acquired a striker I''ll feel that we have gone back to the days of ''prudence with ambition'' as we only signed Kane in the final hour of the last window.

All this talk of alot of things are happening in the background does remind me the said Doncaster regime.

So if we going to act like a big club by changing the football strip each season can we have this mirrored in other aspects of the club too and show some level of ambition in improving the squad!!

Tin hat at the ready!! lol

  11. Are you concerned by the lack of news from the transfer window or not.

Was PL the driving force behind getting ''business done'' early or was it the board? Last window we went to the last hour to get someone in, are we getting back to the days under Doncaster?

Do you think we will sign anyone/many and who/where would you like the team to strengthen?

Personally I feel the striking department needs help to take pressure off the defence which has started letting a few more in recently.
