  1. In my opinion its not down to the premiership as you only have to look at WBA as they seem to be run in a sensible way. Where are problem is at the top of the club and the running of it it, for some time we have been looking at Charlton as a role model until they started to self destruct. Why does the board have no idea how to run this club apart from into the ground!

For too long now we have had the same amount of debt when we should have been chipping away with it,unless we don''t want to get rid of it because it acts as a way of keeping potential suitors away from buying the current regime out!

  2. Camuldonum...please. When Liverpool was bought by Gillette & Hicks how many other suitors were there to purchase at the same time, not many I remember .But there are others ready to invest in Liverpool even now so why not NCFC? If the price is right or there is potential in the club someone will come up with the investment to buy us,if we price ourselves out of the market or put parameters in place that stop any potential purchasers then there won''t be many bidders. I can''t recall the Liverpool owners having to live in Liverpool.

I applaud the regime for taking over when they did but even there original line that no one person should ever rule this club has worn thin. When she/they took over we were a medium placed championship club whereas now we are staring League 1 in the face and have never been so asset stripped as we are now!

Its  not my job to say who will take over but when I sold my house recently I didn''t tell the estate agent who had to buy it, I just gave them a set of instructions which allowed it to be sold/bought at the market price rather than an over inflated price and the rest is history.

If your allegiance is with the Smiths I can''t knock that but I won''t agree that there isn''t any suitors out there with interests in taking this club forward.

  3. I thought we looked scared for the first twenty minutes and Russell was very lethargic and we didn''t have a clue on how to get past their back four. Why Mooney was in his position for the first half just showed the in-experience of Gunn and why we didn''t take Russell off at half time begs belief. When we did take off a midfielder we took off Lappin who at least looked interested and wasn''t on a yellow card. We have a team that is too slow aswell and easily muscled off the ball,as Swansea were not a big team but they outfought us all over the pitch.

What I saw on the touchline just sums up NCFC with Gunn stood on the touchline for the 90 mins and his arms crossed, whereas Martinez was bellowing out encouragement all game long(not in a P.Grant way either). What our team needed today was some speed on the pitch (Mcdonald) but again the manager took far too long to change the game, why is it we can see in the stand who is having a shocker but he can not? Today you would have thought that Swansea had more players than us as we were second to most balls.

If any can get their hands on some fireworks please send them to B Gunn at Carrow road with the instructions of inserting up the players as today you would have thought that it was an end of season game for us with nothing to play for although judging by their efforts you wouldn''t have known that our season is in a perilous situation.

  4. Does Gunn really know what our best team is? Russell should have come off at half time and I would take him out of our team until the end of the season,he didn''t look interested and we have too many slow players!!

We need to play the best players for those positions as long as those players want to play....if they don''t get them out of the club!

  5. I understand peoples frustration that the goal was disallowed but we seem to always want to blame the refs when really we should be looking at the fact we didn''t turn up yesterday.

The fact that decisions happen that we don''t agree with is football, but we had 90 minutes to score and not just that occasion when the ref was against us. If we do our job and turn up the rest is a non-issue rather than always complaining about refs in a Roeder-esque type manner.

Why don''t we look at the fact that the wrong team selection was made and then certain players didn''t give a sh*t about their performances.(look at Marshalls reaction to Otsemobors deflection and also Otsemobors couldn''t care less attitude when it went in)

  6. Lee Croft has to be commended for his effort but unfortunately at this level you have to offer more than the ability to run for the shirt, afterall if thats all that is required I''d be a NCFC player as I''d run up and down all day.

He is very much a confidence player but his final ball/end product has been wanting for many a season now but it just shows how far this club has fallen when one of our most appreciated players is there just to because of his willingness to run for the cause.

I have the feeling that Crofty has his mind on other things and all will be sorted out when the end of the season or relegation happens. Credit where it is due, he is double the player that Carney is !

  7. Gunns not being criticized for the fun of it, we play two wide men so we get a lot lighter in midfield so I would have thought that the first thing we need is a focal point up front who then happens to sit out 65 minutes on the bench after not being able to walk at the end of the Birmingham game.

What Carney has brought to the team in the last two games does beg belief as he was the weak link at Birmingham? After selling us on what Lee will bring to the team, how can he be able to when he is on the bench for two thirds of the game and then bring him on knowing he''ll take some time to get to the pace of the game.

I am also interested why many players weren''t up for the game today, that has to be the responsibity of the manager does it not. This isn''t the time to sit back and say nothing nor the time to idly criticise but we are showing some major signs of in experience.

If Gunn has a difference with Pattison please sort it out at the end of the season rather than at our expense during the season.

  8. Captain, I have to ask what game you were watching as he was involved from the first few minutes and had the flick on for Gow and was a persistent nuisance all game(perhaps too much corporate hospitality from the sponsors...lol).

In days gone by we would have lost that match because the ball would have been coming back at us too quickly. The Birmingham defence were worried about Lee and Money/Gow all game and Lee lead the line superbly.

  9. Lappin was superb yesterday, he was full of passion and made some crucial last minute tackles. I think his tackle on Bowyer in the last few minutes showed his frustration at being left out as he went through him (fairly) but was penalised for it.

Even in the warm up when shooting against the keeper he was slotting them past the keeper with a certain finesse! Long may it continue and this comes from someone who wasn''t his biggest fan but now is!

  10. I think we had to sing for both set of supporters to add any atmosphere to the ground. Shocking for a team pushing for promotion, what would they be like if they were in our position?

When walking out of the ground the Birmingham fans were shocked at how much noise was coming from our lot. Respect to the 90 minute brigade!

  11. I am pretty sure that we are the main feature on The Championship tomorrow. The camera and the presenter were by the players tunnel when they came out this afternoon.

It will be good to see their goal again, turn your volume up on your tv''s otherwise you might not hear their fans vocal support! Look out for the superb equaliser from Sammy and Marsh''s excellent save at the end of the game from Phillips.(I''m glad he didn''t play any longer as he looked their only threat)

  12. Alan Lee had a good game and gave us a good threat upfront physically. I think he was slightly fortunate to stay on the pitch after using his arm against ''Queudrue'' straight in his face we then saw Queudrue nearly loose the plot and had to be restrained by a couple of his own team mates.

Lee had a good game and nearly got on the scoresheet on several occasions. By the end his legs had given way and on a couple of occasions was trying to get rid of cramp, in the last 5 minutes he fell in front of Gunn whilst tackling someone and looked like he was ready to come off but Gunny whispered a few more encouraging words into his ear!

I think overall a good solid outing from our newest loan signing and probably should have given way to Mcdonald with 10 minutes left just to give the youngster a run at the Blues static defence as they looked uncomfortable when anyone ran at them. He gave his all and considering his fitness levels he gave a good performance.

  13. Have to agree that this could be a very useful signing and lets face it....we are a championship team struggling both financially and on the field too so why do we expect to get premiership centre forwards (who Roeder tried to use) when we struggle to outbid League 1 teams financially. He has always been a good championship forward and I''d take 1goal in every 3 games if our defence stays as tight as it has been recently.

I couldn''t care less what colours he has worn before (its just a job to him) because if it is his goals that keep us in the Championship (or his presence in our box defending)he will have been a great signing.

  14. I can''t ever remember hearing their directors saying ''little old Man City'' when they went down....although ours will be saying that its not a level playing field and that its alright for the bigger teams.

Just remember who it was who beat the mighty Bayern Munich and the only English team to do so on their old ground? How we have fallen so swiftly!

  15. I really admire your ambition that being top of League 1 is better for the club than being bottom of the Championship.

I''d rather fail at trying to do something big than not try at all because we even went into the Premiership looking to enjoy the experience rather than doing what Hull or Stoke have done and had a good go at competing at that level. For that I salute their effort rather than making do as you would have us do in League 1.

  16. Mind the gap says that he does not agree with BC and says ''Good riddance''...well if you don''t stand for something you''ll fall for anything and I salute him for his stand rather than those saying its in your blood and they are the true supporters putting up with the dire cr*p served up by the club.

You say that every game is an 8 hour experience from West London, obviously you don''t go to the QPR or Charlton games then? You also don''t say why you don''t go to all the games when you say its in your blood, is this your time for your latte and blueberry muffin?

  17. In an age where there is more money than at any other time in the game due to Sky we have never been so poor and asset stripped. At least under Chase we had a good playing squad and they were our own players even if we sold some of them very quickly, the £20 million debt under Delia''s regime never seems to reduce even after taking on board the assets obtained under the Chase regime and the money from the Premiership year and the additional payments.

I must say for the record that I''m not pro-Chase or anti-Delia but at least under Chase we spent most of that time in the top league in English football whereas with Delia most has been spent in the 2nd tier and it looks like the next season and maybe a few more maybe spent in the 3rd league.

  18. I totally agree with the post BC and I feel you will get some flack from the fans with their heads in the clouds. Its not the losing that does it for me, more the fact that we don''t even compete but this has been allowed to happen due to the boards ''doing it on the cheap'' way of running the club.

The way Roeder was allowed to rip the heart out of the club, whilst the board just sat by and let it happen suggests that they gave him too much control or that secretly they wanted the removal of Huckerby and Dublin so to reduce the wages bill, but to have no plan B to replace them with so we started the season with no recognised structure is tantamount to self destruction on a grand scale.

I am similar to you in that I am losing faith in football especially NCFC because of the mis-management of the club. I don''t see Gunny as a manager,he should have been at most been made an asst manager as he gets on with the players and another manager with the experience of the situation brought in but again we have done it on the cheap.
