  1. If the manager is not too important then why don''t Man Utd get rid of Sir Alex as they have great players. The manager plays a vital role and we have a rookie for one,he has not even served an apprenticeship and gets given the reigns of one of our most important seasons ever. He is naive in tactics and his substitutions are a non event, and I don''t believe the players respect him.

I agree that he is on a shoe string budget but that would have been known when taking over, I also can''t believe that the likes of Doncaster have had much to spend aswell!!

Also it is time for this board to step down and let somebody seriously interested in running the club do it!!

  2. Good luck to them because as the gap widens it will show Delia''s regime just how much out of their depth they are and what a shambles of a job they are doing! Well done to Ipswich for their decisiveness and speed of their action aswell as the choice of their candiddates not only managerially but also executively. I hope Smith/Doncaster you can even get 1/10 of their ambition.

  3. How many of those 25,000 go to away games too. I''d love to go to more games at carrow road but with a round trip of over 500 miles I''m not prepared to do when I see a board that scrimps and is weak in their decisions.

I can''t fault people being positive about monday night but be realistic that all is not well at NCFC and believing that just being positive will turn it around is foolish. People are negative because they are fed up of this club putting prudence top of their list and ambition is always at the bottom.

Then we see down the road who have had an above average season getting rid of their chief executive and replacing their manager(I hasten to add in an un-personal manner)without the circus that follows a NCFC managerial appointment usually with the parading of that circus chimp to boot.

  4. Will this board never learn, why just because they have played for NCFC do they have more chance of managing this club than someone who has actually managed/coached/motivated other professional players. Gunn should never been offered the job ahead of the likes of Boothroyd and now this club will suffer because of this boards ignorance of the situation and taking the easy option.

Good luck to Wolves who have appointed a proven manager and backed him. What it must be like to have a board with ambition and backbone!

  5. Exactly sums up Delia''s regime that a failing CEO can carry on with no fingers pointed in his direction and offer utter drivel that a certain percentage of the fans lap up.

How can he have been in position so long when the club is in its worst position for years and the poor maangerial appointments made in the last few seasons.

Why did we not appoint Boothroyd? Because he is not a yes man like our manager!!

  6. But they won the game and will be in the champioship next season, the only people who care about season tickets is the board. I don''t care how many we''ve sold as I''d rather have ambition from our board and a squad that is ours than a higher percentage of season tickets. Am I right in thinking that people have the chance to cancel their membership, because if we go down to league 1 expect the attendances to drop off as well.

What matters how many people attend games, not the fact that they''ve paid for their ticket months in advance only to have the wool pulled over their eyes like the Huckerby scenario.

  7. You Sir are the muppet as you applaud the mediocrity that this regime has served up and you go on your offensive of slaughtering anyone with an opinion that differs to your own. All people want is the best for the club but you have to persecute those who differ from you. I think the muppetry award should be reurned in your direction Good Sir!

Are you sure that the money has been given and nothing gained in return?

  8. Wednesday had a manager in charge though, we have our old marketing manager. That just shows the ignorance of our board, and they keep making the wrong decisions when it is crunch time. The took a year too long to get rid of Worthy, then Grant/Roeder and to cap it all when we are in our most important season for a long while we appoint a ''pure rookie'' and drag one guy from Australia and the other from a good position from up North.

Why did we not appoint Boothroyd or go after Davies, because we want to do everything on a shoestring!

  9. GP....I totally agree with what you have said and the fact that our board and Chief Executive have allowed this situation to happen. I recently e-mailed Mr Doncaster and got his usual answering a question with a question technique.

The best thing that will come out of relegation will be the pressure put on our board and C/Executive,as they have run the NCFC ship with no direction and absolutley free from ambition.

Today on Canary call somebody said if we don''t get relegated this year it will only happen next year which sums up the direction of our board and Executives.

Mr Doncaster should expect to receive some heated e-mails and rightly so, he has had the stewardship of this club and unfortunately he has only one destination which is Prudence.

  10. I hope you know what you have let yourself in for having a go at our saviour, I agree with you as we have become an un-ambitious footballing outfit under her regime. I bet you the pots and pans at the restaurant aren''t all loaned from the other kitchens in the catering world?

Before I get shot down in flames for having a slight dig at our regime, just remember that if you aim for the moon you just might hit the stars....unfortunatlely we aimed at Prudence and we hit thriftyness.

  11. Delia is just playing the PR game applauding the fans,we are doomed under her leadership with no ambition(little old Norwich) and Doncaster to top it all off. I know what I wish for and its not her reign next season, roll on Mr Cullum or someone else putting some money and ambition into the club.

Be careful what you wish for as if her reign continues we may not be out of League 1 in a long while.....

  12. My only criticism has been the substitutions and the odd team selection. However there a two others around him and I don''t for one minute suspect Gunn is as ''pig-headed'' as what a certain Roeder was.

If I was to give him a mark it would be 7/10 and could do a little better, and to learn from his mistakes. Importantly his admiring quality is that he does actually admit when he has made an error or two, although I''d like him to work out who our best team is and not make wholesale changes.

I think some of the criticism comes from using this board as a relief valve or posting messages when still getting the game out of your system.

  13. Have seen Lee at Birmingham and Swansea now and he has impressed me with his committment and his willingness to go in where it hurts. I couldn''t give a damn who he has played for before as I have worked for the competition in my industry and it comes down to being an employee and receiving a salary for your efforts. He is refreshing to see because he shows that he cares and now that he works for us he can be seen giving 110% every time he takes the pitch.

Well done Alan, you have carried yourself well and if it was my choice I''d sign you!

  14. I sent an e-mail to Neil Doncaster and this time I received a reply saying thanks for your thoughts and the usual OTBC. Now thats not the usual response which maybe down to the current situation or the fact that I signed an on line petition asking for his resignation....oh well.

I think this board have taken us to their limits and I believe they should be shown the door as I don''t believe the footballing side of the business is their priority! The appointments of Grant/Roeder and then Gunn was an insight into their ignorance in the footballing world and the fact that Dave Stringer even put the name of Keith Webb out there as a possibility!

  15. He is just part of the ''Old Boys network'' at carrow road, after all he was marketing manager not so long ago and after the selection process to replace Roeder he was suddenly the best candidate to take them forward. Now when we say best candidate I can only think that reading between the lines it means the cheapest option!

Yesterday he stood on the touchline with arms folded apart from when he instructed the defence to move up to the half way line. His substitutions were shocking (when Russell was on a yellow and not giving much so he took off Lappin and and replaced him with Gow) aand his timings to help influence the game were just too late.

  16. Like I said if their is a solution then people will talk and get around the table, unlike our lot who aren''t open to offers. Before you say who has the money to replace them, well there are others around with money just waiting, because as our situation gets worse our value becomes less or there bargaining position becomes weakened as their asset becomes worth less. In a recession there are still people with money who want a great investment!

  17. It was a penalty and as blatant as they come, Doherty took his left leg then pointed that he got the ball!

I can''t believe we have given so many penalties away this season, thats just not ''bad luck'',thats just poor decision making and it seems that we aren''t learning from it! These players seem to have very little common sense when going about their profession.

  18. I heard Pat Nevin commentating on the game between Man City and Fulham and his comments were that if the team performs the fans will get behind the team. I think that is the case for us aswell, why is it we have to motivate the team all the time!

In my job I don''t have 25,000 people motivating me to sell, some of their motivation has to come from within whatever their character! Do they have no personal pride for the level of their performance whether they like the manager or whether its a home or an away game!

They get well paid and are in a privilleged position, surely they can take some criticism if they don''t perform. Thay are in a competitve industry, when are they going to start COMPETING? The manager has a role to motivate but the players have to be self starters!

  19. Where has keeping the faith or another way of saying ''Keeping quiet'' got us. If we go down to League 1 it isn''t all down to the club,we have been too passive and just let things go to ruin.If you stand for nothing you''ll fall for anything!!

''Winning isn''t everything but the wanting to win is'',unfortunately this is little old  Norwich.
