1. I am surprised that Phelan is not condemned already. He seems to have as many minus points ie ex Canary player, never been a manager anywhere, a former no2. As he does plus points, Fergies bag carrier ?. However he isn''t Hughton, and he may be one of the last Brits to be a candidate. I still would like Malky, but deep down I doubt that there will be a vacancy until it is too late. I still believe that appointing a succesful boss is just a matter of luck

  2. I think that you are right. Think back to a few weeks ago when the board let it slip that there is no real desire to reach the Europa cup as it did not make any economic sense. Look at all those wonderful cup runs we go on every season (not).Does it make any economic sense to be in the Premiership, where we need a higher class of player on higher wages. The board knows that with a ground the size of Carrow Road as it is, the majority of games will be sell outs and the attraction will always be the opposition teams not our own.

    I knew I hadn''t dreamt it !

If we do replace Chris Hughton, it seems a real shame that there is so much negativity towards Malky.

As a club we have had so many managers who have had previous connections with us and with the exception of Bryan Gunn and Gary Megson, most have been succesful.

  4. Unless I''ve missed it, there doesn''t appear to be any message from within the club in support of Chris Hughton. I realise that the vote of confidence is often the last thing heard before the axe falls, but the silence seems to be deafening. If Hughton is going to get the bullet, surely the time must be now to allow the new regime to evaluate the squad in time for the transfer window in 58 days time. For everybodies benefit, back him or sack him now.

  5.
I admire Becchio for remaining tight-lipped and retaining his dignity.......Other out of favours squeal like spoilt brats.....
Totally agree, surely some players want to be ....players and are not in it just to be footballers ?

  6. The way that Becchio is being treated , must make it more difficult to sign new players in the future. Will any agent attempt to convince his client to sign for Norwich, only to see him become a bench warmer ?. In truth I blame the transfer window, it''s like going to Sainsburys just before they close on Christmas eve. Players are bought/sold without consideration just to make up numbers.

  7. I have long thought that Grant Holt could make a good manager, but I seem to recall that he expressed a wish to be a Policeman when he retired. I suppose that the distance from Carlisle would also stop him from taking the City job. If you look at young managers on the up, Sean Dyche at Burnley could enter the equation, last years bright hope, Dougie Freedman seems to be struggling at Bolton but apart from Malky at Cardiff and Michael Laudrup at Swansea the list of prospects in this country is decidedly thin.

  8. I always felt that we should never have kicked him out as a player and his return as manager has a kind of fate holding to it. It just feels natural some how. Just because Bryan Gunn was deemed to be wrong, doesn''t make Malky''s homecoming wrong, does it. This club has had a long tradition of appointing managers with a Norwich background from day one.
