Left Leicester at 07.45 stopping halfway at the Coronation Cafe (Guyhirn) for toast and a nice cup of tea.

Father parked up the car and me and my brothers made a mad rush for opening hour at the Bell before moving on to the Murderer’s.

Marched up Timber Hill, took a right for pool play and more beers at the Surrey Tavern. Vomited in the toilets but was able to continue for two more beers in the Ferryboat before entering the stadium at the U14 entrance on the Barclay terrace.

I’ll have to check the archives but I believe Mark Barham scored a screamer v Man Utd in a drawn match. Back home for 20.00hrs for a well deserved fish supper.

3-3 draw if I remember probably about 1986

  2. So easy nowadays to get addicted sadly. Back in the day you had to physically go into a ladbrokes. Now there are thousands of bookies at your fingertips all offering free bets when you sign up. Talk sport have more gambling adverts than ever. I'd imagine the true level of the amount of addicts is kept well and truly brushed under the carpet.

  3. I can't stand the obsession with the ball being placed outside the quadrant for a corner. Change the rules and put it back where it should be. Remember a West ham player being sent off if I remember correctly for messing about in the corner at carrow Road

Sargent solves the striker requirement. I think we need that long awaited CDM, and another attacking midfielder in the mould of a Hoolahan, Maddison, Pritchard, Buendia type.

I think we have enough at the back. It’s the lack of movement and abillity to hold the ball further up the pitch that puts us under a load of pressure.

Sargent solves 1 striker yes but who is the other one? And I think we are miles away from having another at the back. But it's about opinions....
