  1. My son (who is 29) was able to have a season ticket as a child to begin his support of our club for a very small amount of money. When his children arrive it would be lovely for him to be able to do the same but the limited capacity and availability of tickets will make that hard. Our supporter base must be gradually getting older and older and we will be missing out on that next generation as things stand.

The existing main stand is an embarrassment and made worse by it being seen opposite the cameras at each game. With interest rates at historic lows and the possibility of another bond scheme to help fund it, cannot the club take a long term view and be able to manage loan repayments over ten to fifteen years to get that larger stand in soon.

We will miss Kruls experience and leadership I think as much as anything else, he makes the defenders in front of him better.

This is undoubtedly true and cannot be underestimated in such a crunch match.

I would also add that I’m not sure if Tim would have been able to save any of the goals v Arsenal and Palace so let’s support Angus.

  3. Sadly it is a maximum of only one point from me. Our Covid cases and injuries are not going to help us for sure.

Other reasons: We always lose on Boxing Day and the gunners are in top form currently. Even when we were on the way to winning the title in league one all those years ago now and the recent Championship title seasons we still managed to lose or drop points on Boxing Day. Our record at Selhurst Park is abysmal and Leicester have found form and are effectively a top six side.

I wish I could be more optimistic, this is simply realism. Perhaps one point is actually being optimistic. Please convince me otherwise. Maybe Dean Smith will be able to turn around our normal Christmas form? I do hope so!

And I can see us putting out our under 23s team for the FA Cup game.

  4. My all time hero is Kevin the cat Keelan.

    Others I would include -

For inspirational: Has anyone mentioned Martin O'Neill? He almost single-handedly got us promoted in1981 when he arrived late on in that season, on loan from memory. And he scored that magnificent late winner at Pootlaoo Road from a free kick in a later spell. I would add Grant Holt to this section

For class: Martin Peters, Darren Huckerby, Ian Culverhouse, Ian Crook, Emi Buendia

For dependable: Mark Bowen, Adam Drury

For attitude and fire: Robert Fleck

For leadership: Duncan Forbes, David Stringer, Dave Watson, Steve Bruce, Malky McKay, Craig Fleming, Dion Dublin, Iwan Roberts

For being unsung but reliable: Colin Suggett, Gary Holt (three lungs)

For breaking my heart when leaving: Hugh Curran, Kevin Reeves, and loads more

Not saying it's the font of knowledge but TransferMarket has our squad valued at about £180m and that seems more accurate to me.

Cantwell, Aarons and Omobamidele are going to worth in the region of £50m combined.

All the new signings worth around £50-£60m conservatively speaking.

Various squad players including Krul, Hanley, McLean, Rupp, Pukki, Sorensen, Idah and numerous players out on loan making up the rest.

Yes, I felt that the value was a little low for our squad especially when you consider the value of the three youngsters you mention, although the contract situation with Todd must be reducing his value at the moment.

Just received mine!  Given what a lot of moaning minnies on here said about the quality of the shirt I was fearing the worst.  BUT

GOOD NEWS.  The Joma logo is secure, the Lotus ad is bang in the centre, so nothing much to complain about other than the JD logo being so last minute cheap!  Very good.

But the corporate **** on the inside of the collar - "Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride, Commitment".  Really, any need?

Now wearing mine for the first time and it is a really good cut and I'm very pleased. Our Forest fan postie delivered it with a smile and a few extra comments that he was asked to pass onto me from his fellow workers in the sorting office who are almost all massive 1p5wich fans (only when they're winning of course and they do talk a lot about the last century) that were not overly complimentary, just jealousy really.  I live close to 1p5wich if you are wondering why so many follow them locally.

Yes, I had the “pleasure” of being there that day.  The locals definitely weren’t too pleased when that equaliser went in, particularly as I think it relegated them.  I was with my Dad, sitting in the main stand at CBL which seemed to be where the majority of Norwich supporters were, but that didn’t stop many of them from being on the receiving end of a vicious kicking.  Never been more relieved to get away from a football ground unscathed.

Yes, I agree that was the most frightening experience I’ve had at a football match. I went with my father and brother in law - I was only 12 at the time and the exit from the ground was strictly keeping your mouth shut and not making eye contact with anyone.

And coming back to the OP .....

I have that canary crusade magazine and a lovely silk scarf from the seventies.

Away to Burnley first game, away to Man City on the final day

It's getting to be a bit of a joke to be honest

17/18 Away to Fulham - away to Sheffield wednesday

18/19 away to Birmingham - away to Villa

19/20 away to Liverpool - away to Man City

20/21 away to Huddersfield - away to Barnsley

Has any team in history ever been this cursed by the fixture computer? I'm convinced the guy who runs it is an Ipswich fan

Good grief, I hadn’t realised that we have had such a run of away games on the first and last day.

  9. It was a brilliant day out when all of the results went for us from memory to help get into the play offs. Wasn’t there one more home game that we won 2-0 and it came down to a narrow goal difference for us to get in? Can’t remember the team who missed out. They had an aged former international player who was good at free kicks and he didn’t score for them in the dying seconds. Could it have been Paul Gascoign?
One of my lasting memories was driving away from the ground being held up in slow moving traffic and a young lad walking alongside very sad as his Barnsley team had been relegated and kissing the badge on his shirt. We all applauded him and I hope that now he is an adult he has that same passion for the game and he will enjoy the Premiership through the play offs this season.

Ha, not sure that's a good idea, there are some very odd creatures on there! I think 13 years of utter dross does strange things to your average football fan!

Indeed Blue Hope76. Many thanks for your congratulations on our promotion.

One thing I love about Farke and our group of players (and this speaks volumes for our recruitment) is sheer humility. Teemu best identifies it. Never do we see posturing like Toney does to give one example. We just see exuberance. The example is set right from the top...respect...and it's why DF is such a brilliant bloke.

It's been picked up a few times by Prutton to be fair who was very very generous last night in his post match commentary.

Just felt that all of the comments that our players made after the match were so grounded and realistic about our chances next season. Yes, there was exuberance and excitement and why not - if you cannot celebrate a great achievement that would be a shame. There was a real sense of maturity from them all and that has clearly been modelled by Farke. He is class and the actions of some of the Bournemouth players were somewhat over the top - they did only win three points last night. They need to look at the table.

  12. Bruce in that SF against Ipswich

Stringer to keep us up in our first season at the top table

    Goss at Bayern Munich

Martin O'Neill's last minute free kick winner right in front of us in the North Stand to beat Ipswich 3-2

Craig Bellamy at Ipswich to win 1-0. The previous visit was v painful and had ended 5-0, so v sweet.

Every goal scored against Ipswich really is a favourite surely, especially that 9-2 season

Redmond at Wembley, a great finish and a fabulous move/day

    And definitely Justin's v Liverpool
