I remain very optimistic that we will make the play offs and ACN will not resurface again this season. 75 points should be enough, as others have stated, and it would be helpful for our heart rates if those could be secured on Saturday please Mr Wagner. The third placed team now looks likely to be Leeds or 1p5wich with the Saints in fourth and Leicester taking the title. I'm not sure my heart will cope with a local derby over two legs, although I think we would have more of a chance facing that rather than Leeds in the semis. Therefore an all out assault on fifth seems necessary to then allow the Baggies to overhaul the binners or dirty Leeds in the semis and for us to beat them in the final. So straight forward on paper. ๐

Yes, Iโm well chuffed in having 72 points just now that Iโd predicted weโd be at with two to play. The binners doing a swapsy with Bristol C worked loveerly jubberly!
-
Sadly those Bristolians have ruined my forecasting and it must be said that they thoroughly deserved a point.
-
Agreed, they are a good outfit and have more points (11) from the last five games than us (10).

Love this, โ1delightful twistโ comment! Simply stay calm and carry on canaries.
-
Yep, agree with this. Fifth for me is our best route and WBA have enough about them to get to the final.
-
Yes, I really like our chances of top six now! Even the old ACN canโt change that surely? We certainly have momentum for sure.
-
Equally surprised that the turn out wasnโt equal to or more than Tuesday night. However, it a very long way and fans are probably now saving up for Wembley.
-
To gain fifth or secure sixth?
-
Yes, for me itโs an all out attack now on fifth place. Best to look up than look down.

Well, the next four games without Josh in some of them is going to really test my predictions. ๐

Doomsday May Just Have Arrived...............

Re Adam Idah, I could be wrong here but havenโt players that have been on loan returned to their parent club at the end of the normal season and then been able to be a participate in the play offs for them? It doesnโt help us on Saturday but would be mightily useful if so in the play offs. -
And I thought that Maths was my strong point. Thanks for correcting me!

Ok, how are we all feeling after Tuesday? It seems a long time ago when I made my 'last 13 games predictions' and we're currently two points ahead due to beating the binners. Confidence must have been surging through me to predict that we would win the last four. ๐ I am still confident about the home games but Saturday will be tough for sure. Getting Jonny back into the squad at Preston (hopefully) will be a huge boost, with our lack of depth from the bench at the moment, but I would be surprised to see him fully fit until the start of the play offs. Keep calm and carry on.... A Blackburn Draw ๐ H Sunderland Win ๐ A Boro Lose ๐ H Rotherham Win ๐ A Stoke Win ๐ H Plymouth Win ๐ A Leicester Lose ๐ H 1p5wich Draw +2 Happily incorrect! A Sheff Wed Draw ๐ 68 points A Preston Win H Bristol City Win H Swansea Win A Birmingham Win = 80 points I think that 2 wins and a draw will be enough now resulting in 74 points. Some of those below us have to play each other so this will help. Ideally, we really need to get those seven points in the first three games as Birmingham could be needing points to stay up on the last day. Having those two back to back home games is very helpful at this stage.

They rightly are furious about this. I would be as well if Norwich did the same: https://www.twtd.co.uk/forum/580307/todays-ticketing/#219

I took one for the team! OK, Iโm not infallible but what a magnificent way to get one result incorrect!

Best atmosphere since Covidโฆ
Mutley replied to nutty nigel's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Totally agree concerning the atmosphere, it was magnificent! Yes, I can see us catching WBA and then beating them in the final. They are more than capable of beating that shower we played today over two legs for sure. -
Yes, I noticed that. Letโs hope Angus wants to stay long term like his Father and secure legendary status.
-
Iโve always sought to be a team player ๐๐๐
-
I would soooo love that as well. More than happy to get one wrong for that outcome! Being surrounded by binners is awful and it might just quieten them down a little if we beat them. They are living on high octane fumes at the moment.
-
Ok, I so wanted to be wrong today but thatโs another correct result. Keep this up and we will reach the 78 points with no problem. And todays results went very well for us considering.

I was rather heartened by the record thatโs all, as opposed to our dreadful Boxing Day one. I was there in 1978, and also the year before when we lost 5-0 (not Easter Monday) and in 1980, again on Easter Monday when we lost 4-2 with Eric the diver Gates winning two very dodgy penalties. You young ones on here know nothing of the pain we had to endure! In my โlast 13 gamesโ predictions, obviously made some while ago, I had us down as losing this one and with Leicester losing at Bristol they will be right up for this. However they really are on a bad run and we could get a draw at the v least. Four points out of the next two games would be brilliant.

Weโve got an excellent record on Easter Monday according to this: https://www.skysports.com/football/live-blog/11712/13101574/championship-league-one-and-league-two-live?postid=7436729#liveblog-body
