Yes, the saints have had a little while now to come to terms with missing out on the automatic slots and if they were an EV they would now be ensuring that the battery is fully charged for the play offs.

Exactly what I was thinking. They will be desperate to secure safety.

Who would you rather get into the playoffs WBA or Hull...given that we 'might' play one of them in a final??
Are you drawing me to say already whether or not we will be in the final? 😀
I think it has to be WBA as they are on a really bad run and even in January we beat them at home rather easily I felt. However, we did the double on Hull so either shouldn't be a problem.

The third placed team now looks likely to be Leeds or 1p5wich with the Saints in fourth and Leicester taking the title. I'm not sure my heart will cope with a local derby over two legs, although I think we would have more of a chance facing that rather than Leeds in the semis. Therefore an all out assault on fifth seems necessary to then allow the Baggies to overhaul the binners or dirty Leeds in the semis and for us to beat them in the final. So straight forward on paper. 😀
Oh well, we didn't actually need any more than 73 points to secure the play offs (I know: subject to crazy 7 goal swing with Hull and the baggies getting a point in the last game). I sincerely apologise that my predictions have been flawed over the last two home games and now need to put my mind into gear for the play offs.
As to who we will be playing, I cannot see the binners failing to win their last game on Saturday so here's hoping that the Sky Blues play with the freedom that Bristol and Swansea did at CR and smash the binners top two hopes with a home win themselves on Tuesday. Surely then Leeds would beat 'on the beach/resting the first 11' saints on the final day and secure promotion leaving us with either the saints or 1p5wich to face.

One more win needed. Maybe less.
Yes, I’m well chuffed in having 72 points just now that I’d predicted we’d be at with two to play. The binners doing a swapsy with Bristol C worked loveerly jubberly!

Sadly those Bristolians have ruined my forecasting and it must be said that they thoroughly deserved a point.

Yep, agree with this. Fifth for me is our best route and WBA have enough about them to get to the final.

We are in pole position with 3 laps to go and I like our chances.
Yes, I really like our chances of top six now! Even the old ACN can’t change that surely? We certainly have momentum for sure.

Equally surprised that the turn out wasn’t equal to or more than Tuesday night. However, it a very long way and fans are probably now saving up for Wembley.

Yes, for me it’s an all out attack now on fifth place. Best to look up than look down.

It seems a long time ago when I made my 'last 13 games predictions' and we're currently two points ahead due to beating the binners. Confidence must have been surging through me to predict that we would win the last four. 🙂 I am still confident about the home games but Saturday will be tough for sure. Getting Jonny back into the squad at Preston (hopefully) will be a huge boost, with our lack of depth from the bench at the moment, but I would be surprised to see him fully fit until the start of the play offs.
Keep calm and carry on....
A Blackburn Draw 👌
H Sunderland Win 👌
A Boro Lose 👌
H Rotherham Win 👌
A Stoke Win 👌
H Plymouth Win 👌
A Leicester Lose 👌
H 1p5wich Draw +2 Happily incorrect!
A Sheff Wed Draw 👌
A Preston Win 👌 71 points
H Bristol City Win
H Swansea Win
A Birmingham Win = 80 points
I think that 2 wins and a draw will be enough now resulting in 75 points. Some of those below us have to play each other so this will help. Ideally, we really need to get those seven points in the first three games as Birmingham could be needing points to stay up on the last day. Having those two back to back home games is very helpful at this stage.
Well, the predictions keep coming in. I also had a dream that a jockey wearing a striped yellow and green jersey would win the Grand National. 🥳- 1

Well, the next four games without Josh in some of them is going to really test my predictions. 😊

Re Adam Idah, I could be wrong here but haven’t players that have been on loan returned to their parent club at the end of the normal season and then been able to be a participate in the play offs for them?
It doesn’t help us on Saturday but would be mightily useful if so in the play offs. -

Us to play the Saints in the semis with WBA beating them over two legs and we then obviously win at Wembley! I do like Mondays! Some younger ones on here won't get that. Clue: BTRs.

I know it’s Ipswich and we could well chortle but it’s good to see that we all seem to agree that the away allocation was divvied up disgracefully in excluding a sizeable number of loyal fans.
Those that did it have some awkward questions to answer.
They rightly are furious about this. I would be as well if Norwich did the same:

Yes- You need to take one for team on Saturday
I took one for the team! OK, I’m not infallible but what a magnificent way to get one result incorrect!

The way things are now I believe we can finish 5th. Beat Southampton over 2 legs and then beat WBA at Wembley.

Totally agree concerning the atmosphere, it was magnificent!
Yes, I can see us catching WBA and then beating them in the final. They are more than capable of beating that shower we played today over two legs for sure.
How many points do we need?

Leeds have extreme pace to hurt us (painful memories of our home game) and surprisingly they rather sat back and allowed us possession at Elland Road after taking the lead. In the end we probably deserved a draw there so with the pressure on in a second leg we could cause them problems.
