must have been one hell of a party - watching grass grow! -

I used to think I was a good footballer.
Then I played left back against Phil Lythgoe in a school match.
It was the longest 90 minutes of my life. I still have the odd nightmare about it 36 years later.
I''d like a winnable away game to start with. Watford perhaps, Q.P.R? Nightmare scenario, first five games... Reading (H) Sheff Utd (A) Burnley (H) Palace (A) Leicester (H)
If we can''t win at Palace next season we never will.
On the other hand, you''re probably right.........
So because of a minority of English fans and tacky supporter merchandise you dont really wanna support your country? Sad, very sad. Norwich have their fair share of triublemakers, dont worry. Perhaps they dont get the same media coverage, but in relation to how many England ''fans'' there are, there are as many Norwich hooligans to our fan base numbers. Also have you seen the tacky gear you can buy in the club shop? I also imagine they are made in poorer countries... I cannot beleive the negative vibes towards England and the world cup on this thread. Dont you guys remember how boring the country was 2 years ago when we weren''t at the Euros? The main reason i''d rather see England win the world cup, so in another 30 or 40 years, i can tell my Grandkids about it, like my parents and grandparents have. I''m so jelous or people who lived that experience. Norwich are my bread and butter and i want them to do well, but the promotion is not essential to our club at the mo. As mentioned by other posters, if the comparison was for Norwich to win the league or champions league then the answer would be Norwich.
But Euro 2008 was the best tournament I''ve seen!
Telling your children about winning in 1966 isn''t all it''s cracked up to be.
We won it because Brazil and Pele were brutally kicked out of the competition and because a Russian linesman couldn''t see straight.

Easy- Norwich to go up.
The point is, is there anyone who seriously believes that we have a chance of winning the World Cup?

How about our old friend Luke Chadwick.
Strangely, he doesn''t look the same these days

England to win the World Cup! You''re having a laugh. -
Trevor Hockey, lots of hair, nothing else.
I beg to differ. Trevor Hockey (RIP) was brought in to make our midfield a bit nasty and help to avoid relegation. It worked. Rumours emanating from WBA that he was a werewolf were totally false.
Well spotted and good point. It''s actually quite annoying after noticing. Not even Brighton & Hove Albion have their full name.
But there''s also and Norwich United?
My guessing is that it is completely overlooked.
Norwich United was born in the 1980''s. Much like Wimbledon and MK Dons, Poringland Wanderers was taken over by a dubious local businessman and moved out of Poringland into Norwich. The club was eventually forced to change its name and choose Norwich United - probably because the people concerned were absolute winkers.

An Ipswich player I was at school with told me that the manager (I think his name was Ferguson) had got sunburned on a pre season tour. He asked the doctor for something to ease the discomfort and was given some lotion. The next day at breakfast he complained that he had been up all night in the loo and thought the lotion had caused his stomach problem. He had swallowed 3 spoonfulls.
But not all footballers are thick. I read recently that Frank Lampard has an IQ of more than 150, which puts him in the top 0.1% of the population.

lampard went to a private school, as his dad could afford it!
But lampard has made his money now so doesn''t need to be that smart, although if it gets people like christine Blakely then maybe smart if good [;)]

IQ is something you are born with. It isn''t increased by going to a private school.

Whoever it was in goal when we last 5-0 at Everton in the FA Cup round 3 - 1995 I think. He was awful. He hid in the crowd every time Duncan Ferguson went in the penalty area.
Other than him, David Marshall was poor and Vasper, Hansbury and Baker were average.
We have been truly blessed with great keepers though. Keelan and Woods are the best I have seen but Forster is probably capable of being as good, if not better.

Hello Morty. Enjoyed your videos.
The camera is a Canon Powershot G9, which is a digital compact camera.
Bought it second hand a couple of weeks ago from the London Camera exchange on Timber Hill for £200 (for God sake don''t tell the wife)
If you''re looking for a good quality 2nd hand camera they have a Fuji 9500 for about £120 (or I should say they did have one last week).
The Fuji would take pictures of the same quality as the G9 - it''s just a bit on the bulky side.

There is a club house with a good bar but I doubt that you are allowed to take your beer outside. FA rules apply to all grounds - not just professional clubs.
There is some seating. Same price as standing but you''ll need to be there early to get a seat. Dereham''s usual gate is around 250 and they are expecting 3000 as we are taking a full strength team.
