1.

but I have always had a doubt about left footed centre halves and would prefer to see 2 right footers in there
Why?
I think you get a better balance playing one left footer and one right footer tbh.

If a striker attacks the space between the two centre halves and one is right footed and the other left footed, they will both be attempting to tackle with their weak side.  I assume it''s not just me that thinks like this - you don''t often see left footed centre halves in top club or international sides.

  2.
Was surprised to hear this on the radio looked a good penalty shout from where I was (River end) I was sure Holt had got a head of the defender!! Oh well it makes up for Jacksons against the binners
I hasd a good view from Barclay Upper.  I thought the referee was going to book Holt when he blew his whistle.  Some of our players looked like they were trying not to laugh.

I didn''t get a clear view of the second one

  3.
Could be a blessing in disguise. An icy pitch could make the result a lottery and it also gives extra time for Russell Martin, Wes, Drury and Whitbread to get fit. At this rate i don''t see the ''Boro game going ahead either.

There is no snow forecast in Middlesborough between now and 1 Jan and the temperature is not forecast to drop below freezing.  As they have a heated pitch I can''t see any reason why the game shouldn''t be on.

  4.
Okay, I shall protect my source, but have been told Lambert has money to spend in January, a lot more than any of us would have suspected, and we are in talks with Lambert from Southampton and Morrisson from Millwall.
So Holt is going then!  Personally, I think Lambert is a better player.  (stunned silence throughout Norfolk)

  5.
Well before my Time but what a player Justin was! Brian Clough failed him so badly in his hour of need, just what could Justin have become on the pitch if he had been backed off it.

Died in May 1998, the last game at Elm Park, city won 1-0 and the fans went home after a nothing game... Justin Fashanu has never been remembered by the club since his death, no minutes silence, nothing in the programme. that in itself is a tragedy....

Norwich accepted Justin for what he was, a talented young footballer with the world at his feet. once he came out as being Gay when at Forest it became a witch hunt, Brian Clough was one of the most respected managers in the game and if he had spoken up in favour Justin maybe he''d still be alive today....

R I P Justin Fashanu. England might never known what they were missed at the 1982 and 86 world cups.

Cough failed him badly!!!  What about us?  Why do you think we sold him in the first place?  Brian Clough may not have known about his ''problems'' but John Bond and Arthur South certainly did.

  6.
While I was prepared to be patient with him at the start of the season im really starting to lose patience with him and his injuries. You wonder whether hes a bit of a Kieron Dyer or Darren Anderton who is just constantly injured. Its hard to see him making any sort of an impact this season as he is probably a million miles away from match fitness and with Barnett and Ward playing well together it will be difficult for him to break into the side. If maybe he could get fit by January we could send him out on loan to a league one club for the remainder of the season where maybe he could get some games under his belt and maybe he could come good next season.
Darren Anderton played 500 games!

  7.
Certainly worth having a look at, Dundee are in real trouble financially and would probably sell for a few peanuts. His record is brilliant considering he only turned 20 at the start of this season.
or maybe a lifetime supply of battered Mars bars

  8. Don''t agree with Russell Martin MOM.  Thought he wasted loads of opportunities to cross in the first half.  He got it right in the second half when it counted though.

And by the way Hucks - if you scored 2 goals in an away game and we won 2-1 wouldn''t you expect to be MOM!!!

Sitting behind the goal it didn''t look like a Coventry penalty to me. I thought Platt tripped over his own feet but I could be wrong.  None of their players seemed to make much of a fuss about it.
