Things have gone wrong and need to be put right asap, but like it or not, the board have had some degree of success. It''s like the Worthy Out campaign all over again - with people popping up saying the board have never done anything for the club and that it''s all been downhill since they took over, which it hasn''t. The board need to get the next decision right, if not they need to step down - but that''s football. However, Delia did save this club and that mustn''t be forgotten.
Ah yes but didnt a certain Robert Chase lead us into europe and our most succesful period? It wasnt my intention to come on as an i told you so, just pointing out, some of us could see this coming.
None of you could see this coming, it is all guesswork and speculation.  Isnt hindsight a wonderful thing.... And dont bother with the whole Robert Chase thing, it is totally irrelevant and doesnt make a fart of difference to whats happening now.  Also football is a totally different animal now. I predict that under this board (lets face it they are going nowhere!!) and with our new manager (Prediction - Aage Hareide) we will finish either just outside or just in the play off zone.  If I get this right I am looking forward to my ''I told you so moment''.
Well a lot of people did see this coming hence why for the last year or so more and more people have become dissalousioned with the club. The Robert Chase thing is relevant when you consider people are saying we have short memorys as Delia took us to the premiership. Prudence with ambition does not work. Look who invested last season-Derby, Birmingham and Sunderland, and guess who went up? As for your play off preiction i look forward to being proved wrong. James.
I agree that this board are failing the fans, in fact I couldnt agree more.  Yes Lee Oliver is spot on correct, what I dont appreciate is the ''I told you so'' style posts. I dont think the whole Chase thing is relevant anymore that was 10 years ago and football has moved on considerably. Agree that prudence with ambition doesnt work and massive investment is now required.  We need to raise funds either through new investors (unlikely) or by refinancing the debt we have.  We have the potential to also do a Derby or a Sunderland after all the anfastructure is there, no I am not talking restaurants I am talking fan base, stadium capacity, training facility etc. Our future hinges right now on the choice of manager and transfer budget available to him.  That scares the crap out of me because I just dont trust the board/Doncaster to get the right man.  Our future has never looked so bleak.
You say it is unlikely new investers will invest...Why? Its only unlikely if nobody bothers to voice concern and there lies the problem The majority are not bothered with the state of things and sit back and moan but dont act. In this sense i think Lee has every right to say ''i told you so''. After all hes acted on it just like a few more [including myself] have.
 2.

Ive actually known Lee for some time through my son and like most of u he supported the board at first. It was during our Prem season that it became apparent to alot of people that the board didnt take Football as serious as it should of done with the ''Prudence with ambition'' thinking. This was proven to be the wrong course of action and yet they still belt out the silly quote. I remember Lee throwing his ticket away in disgust after the Fulham game and was literally in tears about the lost opprtunity of more prem football. I remember also Lee not renewing his season ticket for the next season and actively demanded a change in outlook by the board with regards to spending money on the pitch and not off it. Many people saw this coming a couple of seasons back and with the way football has gone they new it was the wrong path to take. I believe Lee was one of the first to not renew and boycott the current board and got alot of stick for doing so...Hardly sitting on his hands NN. Regards
Well Arthur, I''m sure Lee has no problem answering my post himself and doesn''t need your input. Lee and I had discussions last season and managed to get along together quite well despite not always being in agreement. I don''t think I have ever given lee a lot of stick about anything. Anyway, it''s nice to take this opportunity to have a chat with you. You shouldn''t assume that just because I don''t and never would support any boycott it means I support the boards policies. I have never seen any boycott at Carrow Road over the last few seasons, just threats and claims of one on this messageboard. If people did protest by not renewing after Fulham then unfortunately other people took up those tickets rendering that protest useless. First Wizards idea of buying tickets for the derby and then not turning up to ensure empty seats is possibly the best one yet. We shall see if it gets off the ground.
NN i didnt mean it to come across as butting in, just my first hand experience of Lee and his actions. Agreed i dont think people will boycott en masse at the moment and with a new managerial appointment prominent, i doubt it will even be considered. But small acorns and all that. Lee stood to his actions and i blieve it a matter of time before many more will. Wiz''s idea is very good but less likely than people just not purchasing tickets in the first place. Honorable but unlikely as people do not have the money to waste.

 4.

We have had the same excuses of " if it wasnt for Delia we wouldnt be here " and "you cant be true supporters". Well sorry but Delia saving us was and is a myth and as for being true supporters, do true supporters just sit there and do nothing while the club they love rots away?
Nice to see you back posting Lee. It''s just a shame that you are trying to be divisive with the true supporters jibe. That''s the second time I have seen that since I got back from Burnley. So as  a true supporter please tell me what you have done to stop the club you love rotting away, apart from sitting on your hands and the time it took to write this post?
Ive actually known Lee for some time through my son and like most of u he supported the board at first. 6.

I''m no fan of political correctness, but can we please tone down the anti-Scottish bias? If Alex Ferguson retired from Man U and decided he wanted to keep his hand in by managing a smaller club, we''d tell him to p*ss off to Scotland would we?
Try standing in a Glasgow pub and stating you''re English...... Political correctness is something the dozey straight laced English do....as anyone else can say and do much as they like. What next? Ginger people? Bald people? Thin people?  Get over it mate.......
Well said cluck. Like i said the truth is the scots cant cut it and its not bloody racist if you state the obvious..............Mind you neither can the English, Czechs.......!!
 7.
Nice one Wiz - adding racism to your repertoire... whats next?
Lighten up obi, it might be a little harsh but apart from Marshall the scots just cant cut it. I doubt old wizzy is a member of the bloody NF just because of a comment about the scots and Rob Roy.[;)]
 8.

I don''t have a problem with changing the board but it does beg the question if all the people who criticize them are so much better than them why are they not richer and more sucessful? In which case they could buy and run the club themselves.
I have commented before that, given the supposed perfect vision that so many posters on here seem to think they have, it is absolutely amazing that they aren''t themselves billionaires in a position to talk the talk.  It is also quite amazing how they are so willing to spend other people''s money, in this case not just a few quid but presumably £tens of millions.  Indeed, the Turners are being slated by Arthur for ''only'' giving the club £2m [it is of course only a loan, but we know that loans can be written off].   I''ve always said that if I won £5m on the lottery, I''d ''give'' £1m+ of it to the club - but when all is said and done, would I actually do that? I''d hope so, but it is all well and good saying so when you don''t have to make that decision to pretty-much throw your money away (and I am not sure that £1m would actually make that much difference to the club in this day and age)! I quite agree that the club could do with an injection of cash, maybe board needs a bit of a refresh - but surely it should only be to the right people.  It really does seem that some will settle for anything other than what we have at the moment, but the grass is not always greener, there are lots of examples where this doesn''t work (eg Stoke, when they sold to the Icelanders).  There is also a point that just because someone wants to buy into a club doesn''t a) mean they want any old club b) that they want us and c) it doesn''t follow that that we should automatically want them.
we invest the same equivalent every season by buying season tickets. Thats the point im trying to make.
 9.

I''ve never disagreed that the Board has sat on its hands whilst the Club has gone down the pan, but who - WHO? - is going to replace them? If there''s a host of investors out there with cash in hand, where are they? Please educate me, let''s have some names.    I truly believe that Smith and MWJ would happily sell up right now, but I also believe that there is no-one out there to buy the Club. Why is it that no-one''s interested?
There will most certainly be someone waiting in the wings just as soon as her majority shareholding is openly up for grabs...but until then no.
If only you were a success in your business life you could be our saviour and with your brilliance in all things shining like a beacon we''d be looking forward to some Champions League games.............. but then again.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh bless your heart. I really want to give you a big cuddle.....so innocent!
 10.

A quite pointless and stage managed event, I''ve wasted my time and money on five seperate occassions, on similar City forums.............no more!. My cash stays in my back pocket from now on!.[:|]
Sorry Wiz but you just sound like a bottler, even the most ''stage managed'' public event can turn against those who are managing it. The question is to you and the other keyboard warriors is do YOU care enough?
Im going with my son [maybe you would like to comment on your little pee take about him face to face? but i doubt your going because you seem to be the biggest ''keyboard warrior]
 11.

Sorry but I agree with Tim, several posters on here have been posting strong anti board posts for the past month and although I appreciate that its difficult for those living out of Norfolk and those who arent shareholders to attend I believe that there are plenty of shareholders on this site who could have gone and spoken. The only people who spoke on the microphone and challenged the board in my opinion were a Beverley ( 1st question), Keith Roads and Peter Wolsey. A few  people shouted a few comments oHt but without a microphone they couldnt be heard. Always seems to me that people are brave on their pc''s but when it comes to AGM''s or fans forums ( open to everyone) where they have a chance to question the board they go missing and have to stay in to wash their hair.
Unlike you no doubt, I, and thousands of others like me, have other and more demanding calls on our money, so climb down off your bloody high horse Angel, and engage your brain before running down some fans, when you have no idea whatsoever of their incomes and expenditures. Thats disgraceful behaviour and you should know better.[:@]
Well said Wiz....and this sums up the arrogance bred by the "select" season ticket/shareholder type Smith has so cynically created. The casuals...whether they be pensioners...the low paid...the disabled or simply youngsters from less well of backgrounds have been the life blood of this club for many years...so ignore them at your peril. Before too long the upstarts who are currently claiming the moral high ground at NCFC will be left in the lurch by their celebrity icon....at which point they will need those they currently look down their noses at. I''m afraid CA has shown her true colours far too often....and she sums up much that is wrong with the mentality at CR in 2007.
There are plenty of ''casual'' tickets available try going down on a matchday and you''ll be able to get a buy back ticket. Whenever my brother visits Norwich he always manages to get a ticket and that includes derby matches. Cluck is becomming the Sultan of Spin.
ahhhhh squity, you really are funny one. Bless your heart. Trees and woods, heads and sand.Ahhhhhh you really are the most naive poster on here. I fell like wrapping you up in cotton wool!
 12.

I would be happy to be an IDIOT and put money into the club and buy then out if i had their wealth,i would never give it a second thought, and it would be for the right reasons my passion and love for NCFC.I am not saying that they dont share the same feelings but their feelings seem to come across as telling us what we want to hear.I think last night(the feeling i am getting after reading all the reports)they were all on edge and  that idiot commet might haunt her like that other famous one.Now lets get ready for saturday and get out there an show everyone we are all in this together for the sake of our club.   GREEN AND YELLOW IN MY VAINS.
Agreed. if i had the sort of money they had,i wouldnt think twice about helping out. The Turner thing baffles me most. A 2mil loan?? Come on. They give it the big one about passionate support but its hardly breaking the bank,in fact its alot less than most people buying a season ticket! Yet anougher back to the wall comment from St Delia. They are hardly the great saviours of our club are they??
Very funny Arthur, ''helping out''. Leave the running of the club to successful people.
Get over it mate. as for the little ditty about being a hooligan? Grow up sonny, if its a dig about my son, try not hide behind a keyboard and shout such rubbish. Ps my buisness is doing fine thanks.
 13. Peason has been looking for months to invest in a championship club and approached a few but was tuned down. Hes only now trying his luck with hudds because the fans have asked him to try to buy the chairman out but he is refusing to sell, much to the disapoitment of the locals. Its got nothing to do with familys.
 14. 15.
Haha I take my hat off to her for speaking the truth "idiots like us"............lets be happy with idiots putting money into OUR club. Im sure she would sell if a buyer came along and it was best for the club, but the fact is nobody is interested........WE HAVE TO PERFORM ON THE PITCH. OTBC
Well if Delia says so it must be true................. The FACT is there are potential investors. Ex Hull chairman Pearsons has been looking to invest in a club for months and is currently trying to oust the Huddersfield chairman much to the delight of there fans. He was recently quoted as saying he approached a few clubs only to be turned down. Im sure if i know about this the board would to? Why are we the only club to fail in attracting major investment? Lovely stadium , full house every game, wonderful facilties, potential for a bigger fan base with the region holding a million plus supporters. Why can QPR, Wigan, Boro, Portsmouth, Leichester,Birmingham ect ect manage to do it? The one point i agree is that we do have to perform on the pitch, but its very hard if you get pittence to do it.
 16.

Good to see the catering contribution was wiped out by the pay off for PG. Bearing in mind they got him as a cheap option its funny how he ended up costing us a bloody fortune!
I haven''t seen any figure for Grants'' compensation in the local press Arthur, could you perhaps point me in the direction of an article that states how much he received ?
I beleive Neil Doncaster said the figure was nowhere near the £600K quoted in the papers.
Well thats shut up BBB!
 17.

If it wasn`t all so worrying Mystic i think i would be rolling on the floor in hysterics. The board were quite happy to take the plaudits on promotion, but now the downward spiral on the pitch is anyone elses fault but theirs. I always assumed Doncaster was, at least, an intelligent bloke but at the moment he is coming across as a buffoon who just can`t grasp the situation he is in. So where`s the case for the defense then anyone.......?
Go on then, I like a challenge... Assuming you mean "Why has Duffy been given 2 games", half of this message board were predicting that the board would rush an appointment in order to sweep talk about poor performance under the carpet at the AGM.  It hasn''t happened because they want to get it right.  It takes time to get people in for interviews, especially if these people are currently employed.  In the mean time, Duffy gets an opportunity to prove that most of what was wrong was the over-thinking and public statements of Peter Grant, and that knowing the players gives him a short-cut to getting the squad performing.
Yeah it took Palace forever to get the man they wanted didnt it?? Its called balls and its something our lot lack.
 18.

Doncaster Should hang his head in shame. This manager thing has gone on to long. This to me is total and utter incompetance both from him and the board. simply putting your heads in a big pile of sand is not good enough. doncaster get it sorted or if you can''t resign and let my 3yr old daughter do the job, i am sure she''ll do a better job than you. DONCASTER OUT
If they''d made a decision quickly, you berate them for rushing it...
Absolute rubbish. i for one was extremely impressed with the way Palace went out and got the man they wanted. God i wonder what world you live on ob1? We lack balls and ambition and the board are as usual hoping for a little luck with the next couple of games under Duffy. If he gets a couple of points they will say its a improvement and appoint him, if they lose they have a get out card. Its to easy these days ob1 and i for one cant believe people still cant see the way these lot operate.
 19.
They (the cowardly board of fools) never, ever, intended to anounce the appointment of Duffy yet, because of the following reason''s. 1. The AGM tonight: Hopefully, there will be enough awkward questions flying about and  angry voting by the real fans as it is, Duffy being appointed, would have been the final straw for many of them!. 2. Bristol City Game: Ditto for above, especially if we lose Saturday, it would have caused a near riot and certainly a big protest if an anouncement had been made beforehand. No, five will get you ten, that the directors have everything crossed for a good result on Saturday, so they can anounce NEXT WEEK that Duffy is the new City manager. If, as I suspect, a defeat is the result, then they still  have their get out of jail card. This bunch of to**ers are that transparent, at least to those with eyes to see it!.[:|]
I think you''ve hit a very big nail on the head wiz.
 20.
You only have to read the interview on the pinkun home-page to get a clear idea where the problems lie. Talk of offices, loans to buy land that need to be paid off soon, a catering contribution of £500k (wow), plugging the parachute void by making a profit on selling players. Didn`t they tell us a couple of months ago that all money received in the transfer market was re-invested in the team? A bare-faced lie then? So where`s the case for the defense then? I`m sure there must be board supporters reading this-come on, lets be `avin you........
Good to see the catering contribution was wiped out by the pay off for PG. Bearing in mind they got him as a cheap option its funny how he ended up costing us a bloody fortune! This bloody lot couldnt run a tap!!
 21.

Why has he not been mentioned? Done wonders with Yeovil and now Bristol city without a large budget. 22.
Why Us?.......As fans what have we done to deserve this?.......Dont we deserve better??......Have we sinned?....People must look at us and laugh the way we seem to deal with things.....Its hard enough being in the position we are in.....But i feel its the unknown which is killing us..Any one agree?
Well people will laugh if you get some dizzy old Dorris shouting ''Lets be avin you'' on live TV. IMO there in lies the answer.

I will obtain further information when she has finished........
Keep them coming Cluck...  [Y] Why would anybody in the right mind leave Bristol City to come to Norwich City under the current state of affairs??? It''s astonishing isn''t it that some of our fans consider this and other managers in a similar postion as an option??? Not sure on the guy from Stevenage, but maybe if we''re lucky your secretary could be in with a chance of the job though???  [;)]
I agree Smudge, i cant see why any of these up coming managers like ince and johnson would come here as it could ruin there whole future if they didnt turn things round and it seems they are both in better teams a the moment. But its worth noting how the board will deal with this and the new managers appointment will speak volumes about the boards ambition. If they are not prepared to pull out all the stops for a proven manager when we are in this predictament we real are buggered.
From whats happened in the past. You must have a short memory mate. Not trying to be negative as i would be over the moon if they brought in someone like Gary Johnson. Perhaps the last sentence was a little harsh but i have this feeling its going to be duffy or a duffer!
