As one of those city fans that can remember the Sir Arthur South era, when players were being sold for record breaking sums, we always wondered where the cash went. It was exactly the same with the Chase era. The thing is though, we always managed to put teams together on shoestrings that used to compete and play great football so the fact that players were going for £1m plus and not being replaced was soon forgotten. So what has changed?Nothing except the fact that there are more people pulling the strings in the background, oh and we dont play good football! As a club we have had more cash flow through our hands than ever before. I realise the debt aspect that had to be addressed, but looking at most clubs, they all have debt. Look at Derby, £62m in debt, yet they just spent £1m on a player ''we were looking at''. It would be nice to see the board come out with the facts and figures in real terms, and not the spin side that we always recieve. The stands that have just been built were financed before our Prem season, but for some reason they are still being thrown in as a reason. So Delia and co, lets have some honesty, are you holding back due to uncertainty about Nigels previous spending record, are the directors recouping their monies, or are we genuinely skint? Just dont patronise us, thats all we ask.
