  1. I don’t agree this was a strong lineup. With key players returning from injury we should have played our full strength side who will start against Hull. We desperately need a huge improvement in attacking intent coupled with significant improvement with our crossing. This would have been an ideal opportunity to get some cohesion and confidence in to the side. It was criminal to waste time again with Hernandez and Idah in particular. I do not accept the argument that some players need a rest. The top teams who play in Europe regularly play twice a week with full strength sides. Possible injuries - well that is always a possible risk. Bearing in mind the crowd makeup was slightly different it was a golden opportunity to bring back some positivity to Carrow Road. Wagner and his coaches just do not seem to be up for it.

Webber should have gone in May, the summer signings were poor at the time given the players we sold or lost compared to the old Journeymen we signed! Yes a couple young prospects one in the first squad other in development! But I said at the time and now too many old players with no motivation! Just playing for money!

It was poor it now shows and reality is both the majority of the players and manager are championship level at best! Christ a couple seasons ago we tried to offload Hernandez & Placheta now they feature in our match day teams!

It must go down as one of the most disastrous decisions in the Club's history to allow Webber to continue to make major transfers coupled with financial issues whilst working a very long notice period. It makes the situation look worse when at the same time his wife is the CEO. Zoe may have occupied several posts in the past associated with football but it was a huge leap to be thrust in  to leading a major company with a turnover on occasions well  in excess of £100 million. Apart from requiring to be well versed  in many company business procedures you also need plenty of experience. No doubt they may be individually capable people, but retaining such an influencing  combination in the Boardroom is surely not good business practice, particularly when you are accountable to two very aged controlling directors.

Leicester only have themselves to blame, kept giving it away in their own half. However should have been 2 up with that penalty the ref missed.

Very surprised by Leicester's second half performance. Lethargic and seemed to think they could just play the game out. Strange tactics as they completely ignored their danger man on the left for most of the half, who also had loads of space. At least give the Town some credit for a fighting second period albeit they survived a blatant penalty.

I have just gone back using 11v11.com. According to the website the last game we played Christmas day was - 25 Dec 1956 Colchester United v Norwich City 1-1 Division Three (South)

1965 We played Coventry at home on the 27th (1-1 Draw)  and away on the 28th (2-0 loss).

That is correct per the excellent Canary Citizens book. Prior to that year, games were not played on Christmas Day if it was a Sunday. Of course that was all before the days when Sky ruled football.

And the joke is:-  A man walks in to the pub with a dog wearing blue and white coat. "Pint of bitter please" says the man to barman. Barman says" thats a very handsome dog you have " thanks said the man "He's an Ipswich Town Fan" How do you know that says barman. "Well everytime Norwich beat Ipswich I can't do anything with him  He cries, won't eat, won't go for a walk" said the man. "Oh and what happens when Ipswich beat Norwich" asks the barman. "I don't know, I've only had him 14 years" said the man..

The clubs tangible assests such as the ground, training ground and contracted players have an estimated value of £90 million. It’s not out of the realms of possibility it’s valued at over £100 million given other clubs of similar size have sold for similar figures in recent years.

I doubt if we would ever reach the stage of selling the ground. Some sort of saviour would appear before then. But if it did come to that one wonders what it would be worth. For example a developer who wanted to turn it in to flats would probably have to spend more on clearing the site than the residual site is worth. Would not be a great surprise if the City Council put a bit of money in for political reasons. After all they are good at spending other people's money. Whingeingly yours.

The club as an asset is said to the worth between £90-140 million. In 2022 we had a turnover of £133 million. It’s safe to say their asset has appreciated significantly over their time in charge, it has certainly grown at a rate that has far outstripped inflation. Should they decide to sell their 2/3rds of the club they will be very well compensated for their investment. I hope they do soon and get a chance to enjoy retirement and ride off into the sunset with fairly good memories of their ownership.

In no way is the Club worth in excess of £100 million. Unlike normal business, turnover in football is fairly irrelevant, because as quick as it comes in it all rapidly goes out in player expenditure. Our Club is a classic example whereby some considerable sums have been received from broadcasting rights over recent years but despite this we lost £18m in 2022 and £27 million in 2023. We currently have a capital deficit of £20 million but this might be cleared by the sale of two of our players. In this scenario there are no great signs of anyone coming through the Academy. We are not alone because a quick glance shows Aston Villa have a deficit of £22 million, Crystal Palace £36million and Wolves £99million.

Ipswich are an interesting case. Aviva wrote off £20million when Evans took over. In turn Evans companies wrote off around £100  million when he left in 2021. Of course the current US Pension Group who owns them could make a bomb if they get out at the right time. Most of the money going in to football is from large companies who are introducing other people's money. Delia made a comment at the AGM that no local people have put much money in to the Club. Can you blame them - they have more sense. If Hook thinks things are so rosy perhaps he can get his wallet out.

I have no doubt they are all working extremely hard but that’s not enough, the work needs to be productive and effective, otherwise they are just ‘busy fools’.

Accepting everyone is working hard, they’re obviously busy fools.

I’ve never doubted them until now.  That was a shocking evening in my view, out of touch, out of ideas, for the good of the club, they need to step down, we need direction.    Not convinced by Attanasio either.   Worrying times.

I tend to agree with ged's views. It is blindingly obvious we need an experienced operator such as McNally or Bowkett to actual lead and dictate. We are currently run by a committee with Zoe and her men in suits. As ged says they are neither constructive or effective. They try to give the impression from the glossy Annual Report that all is fine and yet ignore the financial realities coupled with the fact that the standard of the squad has crashed. At the same time I would accept "thats football" and we have had numerous injuries.

Like ged I am not yet convinced with Attanasio. Comes over as a likeable genuine guy but the more he says suggests to me he is basically an investment man. It is investors money he is putting in to NCFC and it is normal procedure to spread such funds between low and high risk situations. No doubt that UK football clubs are in the latter category but they are charged a commensurate higher fee/interest etc. When it was put to him about injecting further finance I believe he referred to scratching around in other parts of the world for some money. I can't see we need to get involved with that. Mark, by his own admission does not know a lot about how UK football clubs are run, and tends to talk in general terms about sport in the USA. That's a totally different ball game. It was very clear from the AGM that Delia, Winnie and Zoe do not possess the "hard nosed business experience" to deal with matters at this level.

Add me to the whingers list.

Just seen the interview she did with Rob butler.  Surely it's not a good look to be wasted at an AGM if you're a majority shareholder. Forgetting questions and swaying about like that either she's drunk or she's ill.

Thought she has lost a bit of weight !!!

Well if she thinks it’s only 20% who moaning forget the Wagner out chants time for Delia Out chants instead then maybe she will get the message. Talk about out of touch with supporters. To not see why most have had enough is laughable. And to use Everton as an example why not to spend money when you could point to Other same size clubs as us where crucial  investment works is a joke . Self funding doesn’t work on its own . We want more than little old Norwich and potentially could be so much better ..and we not daft we know we we have limits but seriously if the club can’t be bothered to invest why should we in a failing product ?? She like an anchor to the ship dragging us back ..

She was always a big mate of Bill Kenwright former owner of Everton.

What do you make of 'one of her key areas of focus is to ensure that everyone across the Club is working towards the same vision and strategy.'

I am guessing it means she is conducting the orchestra but not necessarily commissioning the programme of works?

According to the Annual Report our Strategic Priorities are :-

    1)  To develop our football teams

    2)  To create financial growth

    3)   To develop our People

    4)    To improve the club infrastructure

    5)    To inspire and support our community

    Result.  I make that 0-5.

  12. I can't see how Knapper a young and fairly inexperienced Sporting Director can just walk in to the Club and sack the Head Coach. However Wagner has to go now and it is up to the Board, and to make it clear it is their decision. We should temporarily appoint Adams and take our time to find a replacement who should have some 3 months or so to get organised for next season. Meanwhile standards in the  Championship are so poor relegation issues should not come in to the equation.

I am very surprised how poorly Wagner has performed and it is quite frightening to see how the quality of the squad has collapsed over the past two seasons or so. His team selections are confusing, substitutes poorly used, lack of a midfield, and no sign of any clear tactics. Last night we scored two early nicely taken goals, partly as a result of poor defending. But thereafter instead of playing with some confidence and positivity we just sat back and there were several occasions when the whole of our side were just simply trying to defend in our own penalty area. Paddy Davitt described Barnes as playing in the sweeper position towards the end of the game.

That’s just so far wrong- first goal he should probably get to, but can’t be blamed for the other two: the third he made a good initial save for.

And as for quoting Millwall fans, just @&!* off.

If he did make mistakes they were minimal compared with the rest of the side. Arguably he was our MOM.

In your armchair dreamworld that may be the case. In the reality of the real world you won't tell people apart.

I rarely miss the AGM and see loads of posters when I'm there. Not many do anything. Just sit there. In silence. VOS usually speaks and his question, like his company, is always joyful. Essex may ask about roadshows or something. The only one I really remember speaking out was the guy Big Vince claimed to be.

Like at the football, when you manage to make a game, you happy clap away like everyone else. No protesting from you. No protesting from those who enjoy a good old virtual protest on here.

I normally turn up with no intention to speak. But when Delia receives a request for a supporter representative on the Board and replies "no need as I and Michael are supporters" I struggle to remain seated as my very old supporter blood pressure rises rapidly !! Anyway I will keep quiet this year as according to the very glossy 77 page Annual Report we have received everything in the garden seems rosy !!

The challenge for the club is to increase commercial income and ensure season ticket renewals at previous season levels in order to provide some money for squad improvement otherwise that will only be achieved by generating cash from other transfers

Obviously dear old Robert Chase was ahead of the game !!!!!

Abramovich , would have made a billion at least,  Chelsea are valued at a few billion,  something norwich could never be.

When Abramovich left the Club, it was sold to an American consortium for 2.3 billion BUT this was after Mr. A wrote off a 1.6 billion loan. Rather interestingly Keiran Maquire has stated that Mr. A lost an average 900k a week for his 19 years in control at Stamford Bridge.
