Of course there are a few Citeh fans, Chelski fans etc.
You get the odd kid that grew up in the area or is a second generation Liverpool / Manure fan but there are loads of Norwich fans. I would go as far as saying 40 - 50% of supporters follow the Green and Yellow.
Jokes aside its actually really sad that there are so few Ipswich fans, its the clubs fault for not doing this aforementioned out reach and allowing their biggest competitor to get a foothold (its more than that now) in their "patch". They are totally right and should be furious outside of second gen  fans they are not doing anything to earn fans.

You hardly grow up in Lowestoft and go BOOM the Blue and White... Ipswich  that's the team for me.....out of all my picks in the local area and the big boys... Ipswich.. maybe if your a die hard Ed Sheeran fan? Outside of that nothing.

Best news I've heard all day barring the best news I heard this morning.

Lol Norwich have been the big team and the big presence in Suffolk for near 20 years.

Tbh yes it's completely Ipswich fault that we have been able to get a foothold.

But yeh too late, I grew up in Lowestoft and knew loads of Ipswich fans at school. Having been a teacher in the same area for 15 years I can name the Ipswich fans I knew within the student body on one Suffolk hand (7 kids)

Very good to hear. However, how many support us, or do they follow Chelski, Liverpool, Citeh, etc?

This is a pet hate of mine. Fans can chant abusive sh*t at opposition players for the whole 90 minutes, but then if the player gives a little bit back he gets punished for it? Grow up!

I can understand it for going 'full Richarlison' and lobbing a flare into the crowd, but for making a 'shush' symbol? Pathetic.

Totally agree. Fans getting all "teacher, that man offended me", after said fans giving it to them all game, fking kids, grow up.

  4. Not sure if he was ever on our radar but after watching Peterborough’s Ronnie Edwards control the back-line against the Italians in the U19 tournament, I do wonder why our scouts weren't on this lad from a fairly local(ish) team before? He was decent against Austria too. He looks class...way above his years. Worth a big punt IMO.

He's a proper n*bber this guy. He lives round the corner from me. Anything to get him to move would be good, however I suspect he is a bit beyond us even on loan.

ha! I've heard he's "a very nice boy", but it is his cousin.

From The Mirror so pinch of salt but we're desperate for a RM/RW https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-loan-transfer-championship-patino-27288795

  6. Reiss Nelson on a season loan with option to buy if we go back up anyone? Fringes of the England squad to fringes of the Arsenal squad...he'd be one of the better players here so confidence would rise. I think he's everything we need plus a natural right midfield/winger, something we currently have zero of.

Arsenal are apparently looking at loan options.

Plus he's my pal cousin so I'd get free tickets. 🙌🏼

Isn’t Josh Martin a left winger?

I think he is yes. That's why he plays for us.  😂

Along with Hernandez and Todd, I make it 8 players who naturally gravitate to LW.

    Rashica
    Placheta
    Tzolis
    Rowe
    Springett
    Cantwell
    Martin
    Hernandez

...then add Giannoulis who's basically a left wing back and you see that the balance is massively left-leaning, with er? zero natual right wingers.

Last season's top assists were from Pukki (4), and Sargent (3), who mostly played on the right. So much for the loaded left wing.

Rashica created 41 goal scoring chances, but out of that lot, it only delivered 2 assists.

We basically replaced Emi with 2 near £10m LW'ers when we already had Todd and Placheta.

...better luck this summer Mr Webber. 😬

  8. Todd Cantwell. Flashes of brilliance but painfully lightweight and weak in the tackle. Easy on the eye but with the biggest failing of them all, the thought that you're better than you really are...when you should be working at the parts of your game you need to strengthen. Also pretty poor at social media with iffy fan engagement.

    This happened

A Norwich City player MISSED THIS

    Uncanny.

    A Spurs player MISSED THIS.

He's a top level player and valued at over £30m; so it happens to most. The shame is there more pressure when the chances are few are far between.

  10. Shame, but understadable re- Rupp. He could look like a world-beater at times when played in his correct position but never really got a decent run for a plethora of reasons. The Forest away game last season was a particular gem for him, he looked Iniesta-ish. Thanks Lukas.

Now the coverted no'7 shirt is free for next season. Is Mark Barham still around?

If I was a friend of his I'd be telling him if he wants to be a footballer, to forget all the other stuff, social media, image consciousness, contract issues, ambition, personality clashes, or whatever  - and do your talking on the pitch.  In other words focus.

I dunno, I thought he looked pretty hot in his Puma ad campaign. 👀🤪
